Remember everyone. Bobby Heck drafted a similar guy to Michael Choice named Prince Fielder around the same pick number when with the Brewers. I wish astroscounty was having a draft chat today. :(

Keith Law's final mock has us taking DeShields Jr. at #8 and Josh Sale at #19

Yeah Keith Law actually praised us for taking Jordan Lyles way ahead of where most teams had him going. After I read it, I assumed hell would be freezing over soon after. I think it's reverse order. We take Sale then Deshields Jr. Michael Choice looks pretty stout.

I would love to get Michael Choice and then a prep arm. I really think they should use 8 as an impact bat and then take power pitchers at 19 & 33.

Jonathan Mayo has us taking Choice at #8 and Deshields at #19 which would be fine by me.

I really think even if the Stros wanted to go cheap, there is enough talent that would go just slightly above slot to make this a successful first rd.

    THE RE-BIRTH BEGINS TODAY!!!

@keithlaw: Text from scouting director: "You hearing anything about Pomeranz sliding?" Yes, in fact.

@keithlaw: @Kevin_Goldstein I'm also hearing from teams having "uh-oh" moments because they didn't discuss him enough.

Any one read the Keith Law chat on espn.com today?

Only thing I took away from it was that Keith Law is a dick.

apparantly law is now saying deshields to astros at 8 and they are going to hope sale falls to 19 (probably won't happen). Would prefer they take Sale at 8 and hope Deshield fall to 19. Doubt Sale lasts to 19.

Stros do love Delino Jr. but Sales won't drop to 19, your right, so I guess they just don't want to miss out on this kid.

Since neither is likely to be at 19 I guess the question should be who do the astros like more deshields or sale.
