A guy lacking typical 1B power who's best tool is speed being stuck out in the smallest LF. We have potential to be great defensively with the picks made over the last few years, but it would be nice to add some power to our team.
Pardon the ignorance, but is there a reason we're staying away from "power hitters"? Do they typically go in later rounds? Is power less projectable? Or do we just want a team of Michael Bourns?
thescorer Astros fourth-rounder Doran was a 36th-round pick out of junior college by the Pirates last year. Good K:BB ratio, big frame. -Z
