I see what you are trying to get it at. They can't trade the actual right, but they can trade the pick. It would have nearly the same result, except the Knicks would be without a 1st round pick in 2011. The right to swap draft picks is the Rocket's right not NY's right. NY has no option to exercise or trade. Rockets would keep their draft position, even if the Knicks had a better record.
Are you still comparing the Knicks to the Cavs? The Cavs have never been 7 games over .500 like the Knicks are right now. The Knicks are 13-1 in their last 14 games. The Knicks have the most ROAD wins in the NBA. The notion that they have had a "easy" schedule is ridiculous because they have already had 14 road games. I don't think they will keep up the red hot pace they are on right now but common, obviously they don't suck. Nobody here is saying they are title contenders, but they're obviously a legitimate playoff team in the East.
If the Knicks can't make the playoffs they suck. The bottom 5 teams in the east are really bad.......
stat is on beast mode right now, but 4 how long? 8 games 30+. stat will run out of steam and the schedule will catch up with them. record should look more Knicks-like by the end of the season! lol
The only way I see that happening is if they do a trade for Carmelo. Want to do a $20 tipjar and sig bet on the Knicks getting 45 wins without Carmelo?
Ha, don't really know how betting works through a forum and don't really want to bet anyway. These threads are always here, if I'm wrong you'll be able to call me out. The Knicks only have to play .500 ball the rest of the way to get 45 wins. They can pretty much get there just beating up on the average and bad teams and sneak in a quality win at home here and there. We'll see how it goes.
