Well I am not sure about that. But yeah, you ought to give Amare credit no matter what. What he's been doing is just fun to watch. It is a shame it is happening this season (because of Draft Picks) but it is what it is.

But Felton should recive credit too. He has been pretty phenomenal guy playing at AllSTar level.

They are 0-4 against winning teams that don't have an injured PF.

I expect them to beat the bottom 10 teams just like I expected the Cavs to beat the bottom 10 teams in their schedule. I expect them to lose most of the games in December. I expect the same for January.

amare is definitely playing like SUPERSTAR, something we lack.

this guy is playing out of his mind.

a lot of people on this board don't watch the NBA consistently outside of the rockets and they talk like they do

it's absurd what i read in the NBA dish sometimes.

amare needs nash? REALLY? if you saw his evolution with the J, you know it's not true

I think right now Amare is the MVP.

Knicks won 33 games last year.

Right now, the Knicks are on track for 50+

    Knicks win again.

    New York 129-125 Denver

That's 8 straight wins and 13 out of last 14 games.

It's pretty disheartening rooting against them when they're on fire and we're in the gutter.

Impressive win today, Amar'e is proving his worth but know Celtics and Heat are due up. They do appear to be a playoff team now and in a weak Eastern conference, it could be a 5th or 6th seed.

You're kind of reaching here, to try to prove your case. Bad teams find ways to lose to other bad teams. If a team wins 13 out of 14, they're probably playing pretty well, no matter who the competition is.

Meanwhile, the other bad team you used in your comparison, the Cavs, have lost their last 7. They haven't exactly all been against great teams, either (*cough* Rox :( )

Imagine when they inevitably get Carmelo. Carmelo/Amare/Felton will be dangerous.

That's the point. There were a bunch of Cav fanatics jumping on the bandwagon. They said the level of competition didn't matter and the Cavs were only 2 games from 0.500 record.

Reality set in, when they played teams that had a winning record.

why does injured PF matter? amare plays center for new york.
they've won 6 out of 13 in December. i don't expect them to lose 7 straight. and they only have to win one more to make you prediction wrong.

That's like saying why does an injured T-Mac or Yao matter, our star player plays at PG/SF/PF.

They're beating the teams we've been losing to: Golden State, Washington, New Orleans, Charlotte, and Toronto. If you expect them to finish bottom ten where do you expect us to finish?

Where did I say the Knicks to be bottom 10? :) That's your conclusion not mine.

Let me rewrite it. They can consistently beat all the bottom 10 teams out of 30 teams, so they are top 20. :)

The Cavs were beating up on the bottom 10 teams half the time, so they are a bottom 10 team themselves.

I expect the Rockets to tread water like they did last year.

Rockets will end up with the 16th-20th best record for another crappy 12th-14th pick. I expected Yao Ming to not get injured until January or February, but he surprised me with his early ankle injury. My original prediction had the Rockets at 11th-15th.

I expect the Knicks to fall in the 16th-20th spot, unless they get Carmelo. I think Carmelo can turn them into a 50+win team like the Nuggets. The Nuggets would drop to 16th-20th and swap positions with the Knicks.

    Kind of a noob-ish question:

Could NY deal that "right to swap pick" to the Nuggets to get Melo?
