Agree 100%. NFL scouts fall in love with measurables and Freeman's 6'6 with a cannon. Anyone who follows the Big XII can tell you that he was pretty damn unproductive at KSU and did a mediocre job of running that offense. Freeman should send Gene Chizik a cut of his first paycheck for making him rich.
I agree....I still don't understand how he was able to rape us Texas fans twice over his career, because he looked worse than ordinary in any other game I watched of his. In fact, his whole highlight tape is probably just the victories in Austin and Manhattan.....not that he played brilliantly in each game, but he also didn't implode like he did in so many others.
To put it in perspective, everyone remember how bad Missouri's defense was last year? Texas and OU could've put up 80, if they wanted to. We were helpless. Against Missouri, Josh Freeman: 18-36, 121 yards... 3.4 yards per attempt. That's against one of the worst pass defenses I've ever seen, quite frankly. His legacy is built on being a nice guy with measurables who looked great in primetime in Manhattan three years ago against UT. That's it. Baqui might be being generous by calling him "mediocre" leading the KSU offense -- he was certainly worse than that at times. Absolutely zero feel for the game.
BREAKING NEWS: Tennessee Titans offer 2nd round pick and unnamed player to Arizona Cardinals for Anquan Boldin. Source: ESPNEWS
Just saw on the NFL network that the Rams bought a round trip ticket for Sanchez to go to St. Louis on Sunday morning. Interesting.
What time does draft coverage start on ESPN and what time does the actual draft start? I've looked at espn and all it says is April 25-26th, but no time.
Coverage starts early...something like 9am Eastern....(I could be wrong) The actual draft starts at 4 PM Eastern.
Well it appears that the Giants are trying to move up to to get Heyward-Bey so I would them out of the race for Boldin or Edwards.
Finally. It's here. I'm so used to 10AM coverage and 12PM kickoffs that waiting around for 3PM is going to be murder.
Kiper has Brandon Pettigrew as the 6th best available? I know he's being called the most complete tight end to come out since Shockey, but that's pretty surprising. The Bills could reach for him at 11, as they have reached the past few seasons. They should sit back and see what's gonna happen in the 20's, and see if he still is available. I could see them also trading up from 28 to the early 20's to get him. I think their key spots are Offensive Tackle, Tight End, and Defensive End. Like I said in the Texans' forum, I think their first choice could set us up to pick up someone who has fallen. They could reach for Pettigrew, or take a tackle like Oher, if there is still one of the big four available. Or they could take Orakpo if he's there. If he is, and they don't take him, there's a chance he could be available for Houston, which would be crazy.
