I love that both of cinci's picks have character issues. Luckily, the Bengal vets will help put these youths on the right path.
he is big but CUSA pass rush is a little different than the NFL he has potential so maybe it works out in the long run
I'm extremely happy for him. He's a great guy. He didn't touch a football til far later in life than these other draftees, so he has some upside I'm willing to bet.
The Sasha Gray type felatio that USC is getting cracks me the f-ck up. Keep perpetuating the myth ESPN. USC players suck.
Dude, what is your facination with this guy? Did he rape your mom or something? The guy was a four year starter for one of the best teams in college football. If you cared to watch a USC game, you would see that the guy made plays all over the field. Even if this guy did take roids, he wouldn't be the first and won't be the last to ever try them and get drafted....and still be productive. Stick to NY sports and stop acting like you're a Houston fan weak nut.
I actually don't hate the Mike Mitchell pick that much now. This was a pretty weak safety class in general, and Mitchell was on a few team's radars despite what Mel Kiper would have you believe. From everything I've read he's a pretty quick kid who loves to lay the wood. Watched some youtube highlights and damn did he lay a few mother****ers out. The DHB pick though... oy.
I really think that this draft will be the most hit-or-miss draft in recent years. I think Heyward-Bey could end up being a hit. That doesn't make it any better that they didn't take Crabtree, but he could be better than people are giving him credit for. He's at least got some motivation now...
Apparently the word behind the scenes is that the Raiders didn't care for Crabtree and the feeling was mutual.
Heh. John Clayton says Denver coach Josh McDaniels doesn't have a clue about how to build a team. (Signing 3 running backs and then drafting another in the first round, then trading next year's first for a corner despite having corner depth on his team already). And let's not forget the Jay Cutler fiasco -- it worked out for them in the end, but at the rate this guy is going, he'll be out of a job sooner rather than later.
That's all well and good but how did they not have the sense to either draft Maclin, draft another position, or just straight trade the pick?
Yeah, I heard someone say that when they Raiders picked, Crabtree breathed a sigh of relief. God, I hope Crabtree is not the second coming of TO. From the looks of it, he might be. He's already being slightly diva-esque.
If I were Crabtree, I'd be relieved at not getting signed by the Raiders too. I'd hate to work for a guy like Al Davis.
