-I am gonna do everything within my power to quit smoking. It's funny because I'm so cautious about what I put in my body as far as food and drink, but I just can't kick this old habit........ Any suggestions? tips? -I am going to quit playing poker. I have had my fun with it, made some money, lost interest and now only play on rare occasions. It's really lost it's appeal. -I am contemplating a career move, I have worked pretty hard to earn my title, but I am so dreadfully bored with my job. I can't remember the last time I got up and WANTED to go to work. I miss that feeling. -I'm gonna cut out alcohol all together, I'm not a drinker to begin with, but I just don't see a need for it anymore. -I'm going to buy that dam Cello I see everyday and learn how to play it. -I'm going back to Hannover, Niedersachsen to see my Grandparents. -I'm going to finish restoring my '68 Mustang. 1. let unnecessary ppl in my life go ex-boyfriends.. fake friends etc... 2. lose 50 pounds and get healthier morning and night runs.. eating healthier..not a soda drinker so thats a plus..taking advantage of the mini fitness center thats always full.. 3. get my GPA back up..which includes less video game playing when i should be studying ... shorter phone conversations 4. prepare hard for my vet exam.. this goes with number 3 5. get a car its a long drive to school and back..when you are a college student, that money u give up for gas always comes back and bites you on the ass.. i really need transportation!! 6. find a veterinary intership or something of that sort.. if not summer school!! 7. stay away from the liquor store on pay days.. wow if u saw my bank statement youde laugh 8. go to bed at a resonable time.. no later than 1 am 9. learn how to use photoshop better.
-Get all trimmed down & cut & act all badass & douchy about it (Physicality's listed in 4/5's the responses, and pretty high on the lists. So I dont feel so shallow now) -Keep in contact with family more -Maybe get rid of some of these deadbeats I call friends, even long time ones -Get back in school -Get my expenses in control -Diet, bleh, but I can try cooking more for my own lazy bachelored ass -Take more chances, get more spontaneity out of life, if I do those other things or not. Life really is too short. Dont let contant talk of bad economies and world problems bring you down. You're allowed to live the life you feel you should live
Get down to 165 lbs and 10% bodyfat. (I lost 20 pounds last year, so 17 to go) Do a muscle-up. Break par in a casual round. Shoot in the low 70s on average. Get the first 200 kanji down solid and read more manga. Learn to play a keyboard / piano.
1. exercise more(been using injuries as an excuse not to, but I can do more even if I'm not 100%) 2. read more 3. not let myself get too distracted by stupid stuff
From that thread: I guess the 2nd one is really the only one that matters. This year, I'd like to knock those last 4 out. Especially selling my house. I'd also like to be the best father in the history of the world. I'll get my chance at that one here in a few weeks!
bumpity bump. So how'd you do? I might as well just edit my 2009 resolutions and post a giant FAIL image.
Interesting that I forgot I made this thread, but actually stuck to my resolutions pretty well... And I went ahead and got a new job, which fulfills one of the resolutions I missed from '08!
