no vince/tmac. lack off of the back-board dunks but seriously, the east bench sucks (mostly most of them are no-names). the starters should just play the entire 2nd half for both teams.
I'd like to see Yao pull something like this in an AS game: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hvvAMDrMcO0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hvvAMDrMcO0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Steve's all-star showings were much more flamboyantly entertaining.. due to his faster speed, higher vertical, and general fun-loving enthusiasm approach to the festivities than Tracy..
You're exactly right. The bench guys is the reason the all-star game has fallen off. No dunks just jumpers.
for you probably. but the general basketball fan doesn't remember those. they do remember tracy's dunks though.
see, when there's all dunks, people complain there's no D. when there's a little D and a bunch of jumpers, it seems boring and unexciting. it's actually surprising there's so many points with D actually being played somewhat. and that yao/chuck/wade commercial is just great. the end with wade flying back as the thing moves is hilarious.
It's just basketball. All his weaknesses that are exposed in the all-star game are real limitations that hinder him in real games as well -- fumbling passes, being slow to loose balls, poor reflexes when contesting shots. It's hard for me to pretend its not a big deal, but then again that's just who Yao is and we have to take the good with the bad.
The most entertaining combination is when you have playground type guards like a young Iverson and Stephon Marbury and high fliers like Vince Carter and a young McGrady. Watching Mo Williams and Tony Parker doesn't do it for me for an ASG.
as a Rocket..? you're probably thinking "stats" as your excitement.. while I'm thinking actual exciting execution.. as cause for mine..
It's not just dunks though, when the bench came in it turned into a half court game of just jump shooting. No fancy passes, nothing.
man it seems like Paul cant do wrong in transition. he always gets someone a easy basket. One of the best transition players ive ever seen.
chris paul has been tentalizing so far. too bad mo will or tony parker don't have his handles. deron williams should have been in for parker. the only ones worth watching in this game are: kobe, lebron, wade, chris paul. the rest are IRRELEVANT.
It's great with the starting guards in there, but those bench guards are just unbearable (for an All-Star game).
