i don't know if weight loss is a good guage for success, at least for me. i'm 195 lbs and would like to maintain the weight. ok, maybe a another 5 lbs wouldn't hurt. i'd just want to lose the fat and keep or increase the muscle.

5'8", 168. Will attempt to get to 150 (else I will vanish into oblivion).
And what about on the rest of the body?

I'm in... but for a different reason.

I'm bulking up and adding weight. I've recently gone from 167 to 180 and dropped from 36" waist to a 33" waist. The weight I'm adding is mostly muscle.

I intend to reach 200 lbs (I'm 6' tall) and then lean up to remove fat (which shouldn't be too tough with my body type).

    174. Looking to go down 12. If I get motivated enough to lift weights, I will change it to decreasing waist size by an inch and a half.

    6' tall and 200 pounds.

Good luck to you pick the new year to decide to take care of yourself. I never really had a weight issue, but I did quit smoking 2 years ago, because they raised the price of smokes. Thank you Gov Perry.

I'm in, but I didn't weigh myself this morning. Didn't want to go to work depressed.

I'm 6'1 and about 225 or so. I'd like to get down to 200 - or as close as I can get to it.

I'll weigh myself tonight and them I'm in.

Because I am a female... and thus sensitive about my "magic number" I will post the lbs lost ;)

I didn't do a weigh in this morning, so I will do it tonight in order to keep it on a Monday schedule.

So...I realized our scale sucks. I haven't even touched Wii Fit in months, but since it is such an accurate scale I guess that is where I'll be headed. I suppose putting this up here won't be such a bad idea. If I have to post my weight every monday maybe I'll be more likely to focus on exercising more.

Anywho, this is what I had Saturday morning:

    6' 270

As for intentions, I guess I would like to be back at about 180 or so. I've gained a good bit of muscle since then, so I suppose I could be happy with 190.

5'9 and 218.5 at my lunch hour workout. Would like to get below 200 sometime this year so I figure losing a good 20 lbs would be nice.

I'm about a 36 or 37" waist, wouldn't mind droping that by an inch or two.

I was 215 on Friday, now sitting at 211, and trying to get all the way down to 150. I've lost 50lbs before, so I think I can lose that kind of weight again if I just remain dedicated like I was before. But back then I wasn't married, and didn't have a baby.

My wife and I joined SparkPeople.com to help keep us motivated and track our calories.

    i guess ill join.

I used to be about 205 and 25% Body Fat last year and before the holidays I weighed 157(12%BF) while my target weight goal was 140 and 7%BF. So I lost about 50 pounds in 9-10 months. Now since the holidays are over I'm actually 167 now and looking to get back on track. So 27 pounds I want to lose this year.

Oh, this is what I need! I've gained some weight throughout 2008(crazy year) so I want to lose about 10-15 lbs of fat then tone up.

Do I just insert my name in that Google Doc? I've never seen this thing before.

Edit: ok, I figured this Doc out.

I want to reach to 130 but I would like to be more toned. I need to lose my belly fat and love handles!! That's pretty much it. Weight is not a factor but the dress size is. You can gain weight if you are building muscles. So I figured I'd lose 10-15 lb of fat then tone up as much I like.
