yeah I had to start doing that the end of last week. A guy from the gym recommended IDS Smart Gainer. It tastes okay and is around 656 cals. (99 fat). It's a little on the thin side but throwing a banana in there thickens it up some. good luck.
Sodium 364mg 15% Cholesterol 160mg 53% cholesterol seems bit high, but I hear it aids muscle gain. more info http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/ids/smart.html cholesterol study http://health.usnews.com/usnews/health/healthday/080111/health-highlights-jan-11-2008.htm
Last night's weight: 163. I am beginning to think that no matter what I do or what I eat, I will remain there and will not go below that without starving myself; I don't want to do that.
3/9 - 218.2. Gained 0.2, but I did a lot of physical labor and worked out on schedule, and I feel thinner. Odds are that I put on a little muscle.
That is the same thing with me. I'm still fluctuating between 139-143. I just have to do cardio intervals and weight training from now and on. Straight cardio won't do it anymore. I wish my metabolism was same when I was in my early 20s. I didn't have to work out that much. There was a point when I didn't really work out for a year in college and my weight wasn't past 125. I miss my metabolism! I wonder if I'm not eating enough. I eat small meals throughout the day. I have no clue if I'm eating more or less. It is hard to figure out how many calories for things that doesn't have a label such as chicken and lettuce. I ate two eggs wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and some fruit with water for breakfast. Right now, I am eating a greek yogurt for a snack. I'll have three pieces of quesadillas left over from last night. A handful of almonds for mid-snack afternoon then a banana before my workout. There is low fat chicken enchiladas for dinner. Does it sound like I'm eating less? I do eat things that are low fat but they are high in sodium. Maybe high sodium is at blame here?
I had a good week. I dropped 4 lbs and am at minus 16 total. Down to 193. I switched up my weight training techniques. I can now do a total of 10 pull ups where as before I could do none, 75 push ups without stopping compared to 10 before, and 150 crunches compared to 50 before. Life is great. When I finish and get to my ideal weight at 180 (thinking maybe in 45 days) I will post pics if anyone wants.
Still at 162. I don't understand. I didn't work out much, but I ate cake at a QuinceaƱera, TORTAs, Tacos on Sunday before church, and a lot more this weekend. WTF.
Don't focus so much on your weight. Focus more on how you clothes fit and how you look in the mirror. Have you seen changes in those?
