A day late, but I'm down to 214. Slowly dropping, but I'll take it. Does the spreadsheet not work anymore?
ARGGGHHH!!!! Yes, I'm dropping, but it's SwoL... uhhh... oh, yeah, you meant the dropping rate... sorry. Carry on... WTF (who the eff) are Brandon and Stefanie?!?!?
I'm sorry about not updating it last night. I have a copy I saved 2 weeks in that I can upload and catch the rest of it up. I'll try to get it tonight, but I can't make any promises.
i found out that Google Spreadsheets saves revision history. i reverted to an older copy and i think most of the information is there. happy updating!
I'm a little late to the party, but I'll post my results so far. My co-workers started a biggest loser contest, too, and I weighed in at the start two weeks ago at 242. (I'm about 5'10", for the record.) Two weeks later, I've dropped 8 lbs so far! So far, I've totally eliminated sodas and decreased my coffee drinking severely. (I put a lot of crap in mine.) Also, I'm drinking more water, eating less (and better), and working out 3 or 4 times a week focusing on cardio. It's exciting to see solid results in a short amount of time!
To OP and anyone else who is interested, wouldn't BMI be a far better indicator than weight only? All you need is one more metric, height.
I hate you guys that can lose pounds quickly. I don't drink sodas, juices...nothing but lots of water. I don't eat crap, just once or two times a week. I haven't been eating chips and all that processed food for a long time. I make my food naturally (no fast food or frozen food). I do a jump routine for 30 minutes three times a week. I still have not lost a pound. My weight is fluctuating up and down. Some days I'll be 143lbs or 139lbs. I guess I should not rely on the weight but the size now. Some of my pants' waistbands are feeling a little bit looser so I guess I should be happy with that! I've never had to deal with this before. Ahhh, I don't want to get old!
that is true. that's what i've been trying to focus on. here is the link. http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ It says my BMI is in normal range so that's good.
Hey good luck everyone, my major weight loss came about a year ago so here are some tips that you don't have to use but might just work for you: -Quit counting calories- Count the Fat content and limit that -No more ranch or mayo- unless its fat free and you just have to -Fall in love with Mustard or spicy mustard to replace ^^, its fat free -Limit the oil/butter intake, that goes along with the limit the fat. I used to goto Subway and always say "Salt, Pepper, Oil, Vinegar" at the end of my sandwich- cut out that little oil squirt- its 5g of fat! -My workouts included a variety of things and led to me getting more active and playing basketball, walking places, etc. But the major issue for me in the past was sticking to an exercise regimen. Then I found Tabata. In 5-10 minutes a day, I got in my running, and I was done for the entire day. My workout: Warmup Jog for 2-3 minutes, 8 20 second sprints with 10 second intervals, 2-3 minute cooldown jog. Warning: This workout is useless if you rest more than the 10 seconds, and you dont give it your all in the sprints. Stretch, etc. so you dont hurt yourself. The reason I chose this was because it only took 5-10 minutes a day, I could do it at home (sprinting in place is weird, but you get used to it- or you could use your treadmill I guess), and it provided results. By the way, dont worry about how many pounds only that you are dropping. Its all about body fat percentage and getting in the healthy regions. I have a Tanita scale and its really motivating seeing yourself lose x% of body fat.
