I have a 32 inch Toshiba and its pretty freaking awesome...now I also have a 50 inch Zenith and lets say I am not impressed
Samsung 52" DLP 1080p Samsung 50" DLP 1080i love samsung... will continue to buy. currently shopping for a 3rd HDTV for my office.
I've heard the same. I was told to stay away from the Bravia's due to heat issues. I hear Toshiba is pretty reliable.
i have a 42 inch lg lcd with 1080p and 120 hertz. best tv ive ever owned, only complaint is the factory stand isnt stable enough. the tv tilts slightly forward.
Purchased a Samsung earlier this year. I would've loved to purchase a Sony, but the price difference was too big and the Samsung was on sale. The little attention to details and better quality is why I prefer Sony over Samsung. For the money, Samsung offers a better value.
I have a 32" LCD Samsung in my room, and my family has a 42" Panasonic Plasma in the living room. Thanks for asking, though.
so, for those who have both, which do you prefer? for movies? for games? for sports? Is Plasma really dying out, like you read everywhere? Why? Do Plasma's (still) all have trouble with image burn? Do all plasma's get really hot? Is this a problem? Do LCD tv's really (still) make your games blurry? with up to 10' of viewing distance, do I REALLY need a 50" tv? I know this has come up a lot, but... since we're here... I want a new tv, but the info is overwhelming, and never know what to believe. If one were to not want to spend more than about $600-$1000, wants to see movies and sports in high quality HD, and maybe play some games on Wii and potentially PS3, with 10' of viewing room, what TV would any of you recommend, especially considering the deals that might be out there in the coming weeks? Normally I'm tech savvy, but with 480i 720 1028p 600mhz 60hz HD HDMI blah blah blah I'm afraid I will rush into this and make a mistake, or lose interest and keep watching my crappy crt. I know there's a lot of info online, but there's too much, much is outdated, not everyone agrees, and it seems to change frequently. and before someone gives me the LMGTFY finger, I did... and the results are... overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time.
I have a 42 inch Vizio LCD and it's absolutely amazing. I probably would have picked this one over the Sonys and Samsungs too if I based it off how picture quality and not name recognition. There is a reason why Vizio is the #1 selling LCD TV maker in the world and it's not just because they're cheaper than the top brands.
A good friend of mine recently bought a 55" Samsung LCD and it's just stunning. I was very surprised at the difference between 55" and a 52" display. It really does look much bigger in his living room. No glare and very black blacks.
Samsung 61" LED DLP 1080p. Great set. Shame they quit making them. Had an old school Mitsubishi 55" CRT HDTV for 7+ years prior to that. Real champ that was til it got a bit too much burn in from sidebars.
