Tracy might play well, but it won't change the way he has treated his teammates, organization and fans in the past...
yep pre-explosiveness is not a result of micro fracture. that will take years to get back if it comes back at all. but just him on the floor being the healthy tmac is pretty damn good
I'm just saying that I personally believe it's more likely that McGrady's body won't hold up past next season than it is that next season will be his best ever. If McGrady makes it back at some point, I'd be impressed if he avoids any kind of injury and is able to contribute above average for his position. Despite the promising rehab pics, his comeback is far from a sure thing, esp. if the Rockets have an awful start to the season and are way out of it by the time he is ready to play. In that scenario, they may still throw him out there to see if he can up his trade value but the likelihood of him having his best season ever is pretty remote no matter how things play out.
don't let the OP fool you: tmac will NOT have his best season ever next yr, or even close to it. his best season had a 30+ PER, the only other guards in history to do that are jordan and wade. so the OP is dreaming. what tracy can return to is around 20-22 ppg, 5-6 rpg, 5-6apg, which is still an elite perimeter player. and that's doable (he had 5-6 game stretches last yr when he did return from his many breaks). so it won't be surprising to me if he puts up those types of #s. and i think there's a very good chance he'll have a season like that next yr, wherever he plays. i don't think tracy can last more than another 3-4 years in the NBA anyways. his next contract will be a 3yr contract at most. and yes you're right, he WILL be injured again at some point. it's inevitable to all injury-prone players. but before last year, his injuries only take him out for 10-15 games per year or so, and i expect him to have those nagging injures for the rest of his career.
ROFLMFAO Saddam Hussein's Iraqi Information Minister of 2003!!!!!!!! That guy was hilarious. Quotes "They're (American invasion troops) coming to surrender or be burned in their tanks." "We have them surrounded in their tanks" "I triple guarantee you, there are no American soldiers in Baghdad." (Right after Saddam & Co. fled Baghdad)
I think this would be a good question if it was looked at completely differently. How about instead of asking the question the OP asked.. why not ask.. If McGrady comes back healthy and contributes to this team as a closer/playmaker AND leads us out of this first round.. will it be HIS best season ever? I will say I'm not a Mcgrady fan, and I think the chances of him contributing to a winning team are fairly low. But, if he does come back and contribute effectively and lead us out of the first round.. I would have to say yes, it is his greatest season ever.
LMAO...really gotta be mentally stable to read on this board...feeling cracks on the forehead though.
t_mac1, you always have to remember that BAD trainers most likely lead to shoulder injuries, knee problems, and back issues. Our boy McGrady has had all those problems. His former trainer was horrible and I don't get why he stuck with him that long. Hopefully Grover can fix him in a good way.
I would agree with that. It obvious from all the rub he takes for the first round losses that team success is the measure of an athlete's best season. Leading a team through a few rounds of playoffs with 15 ppg is going to endear you to a lot more people than being a good regular season team with 30 ppg.
