I like andre miller but he reminds me of rafer a bit and I do not think we want to go through that again. I think a guy like mike biby could be an option but he is on the downside of his career looks like and he's going to want quite a bit of money. Also, Rasho Nesterovic would be nice as a backup center for yao. I know we are stacked at PF but Al Harrington would be nice a big man that can hit the three consistently. These are all players that we have a realistic chance of getting considering they resign Artest in the off season.

my number 1 thing this offseason would be to give scola a 3-4yr extentsion
my number 2 would be to take look at kyle lowry tape from last 29 games of season if i liked him i would give him a 3yr extentsion too.
number 3 thing ask artest if he wants 2yr 18-20million dollar deal if he does sign him if not i just let him go unless were offered sign and trade.
number 4 i find someone who wants to sell low 1st round draft pick or high 2nd round pick and i find a young small foward to learn from battier for 2yrs

Why extend everybody's contact when you can get a better player from the free agency pool?

because while bosh may be a better player then then scola i dont think he will sign here and i just believe scola is still great player next to yao and gives his all 100% of the time and i dont see scola breaking the bank he may double his salary to 6million year but i believe rockets would be fine with yao and scola up front for next 4-5yrs and if the rocket management and coaches truly love lowrys play over these next 20 something games and hopefully playoffs i lock him up too because i think he will come cheaper and save rockets money in long run if they do it now , guess maybe i always believe in any sport if u like young player u lock him up before contract is up because in most cases u save money that way especially in a sport with salary cap

not to mention yao and scola work well together so u try and keep those 2 together for next 4-5yrs if rockets want to up grade in my opinion it should be at shooting guard postion , back up center and maybe young small forward who can come in learn from battier for year or 2 then hopefully start

Scola is not going to be a superstar in this league. Sure, he puts up decent numbers and hustles, but his athletiscism (or lack thereof) leaves a lot to be questioned.

Now, for sure in 2010 we HAVE to keep Yao. Money is not the issue, because after 2010 every superstar will probably be signed to at least a 2-3 year contract.

I would love to have Lamar Odom... I think he is capable of playing all 5 positions... You can plug him in to the PG position if necessary... But I don't think the Lakers will let him go...

Hedo Turkoglu is going to be a good pick up also because of his shooting range and familiarity to Adelman's offense... He is another guy that can play multiple positions...

Trevor Ariza showed a lot of improvement this season... He is a hustle guy that has range and play good defense... He is only 23 and has a good height ... But he is going to cost a lot of money for a bench player...

Zaza Pachulia can be a great back-up for Yao because of his hustle. He is a physical player that can get you a tons of rebound in any given night...

I'll try to save some money as much as possible for the following free agent class... I don't know if TMac will ever play again, but I'm going to hold on to his contract to become huge player in LeBron's free agent class...

Ugh, we have no idea if Artest will resign, no idea if McGrady will be healthy enough or if he'll even be allowed back in a Rockets uniform....

Can we please just finish the season first?

'bron will fall short imo at the 5, compared to odem.

odem will be my #1 target this offseason if i were morey; at least over marion.

I don't see how we can sign any significant free agent this summer. As for 2010 I would be surprised if the Rockets land any of those big name free agents. The best bet would probably be to trade McGrady's expiring contract to any team in a difficult financial situation and looking to cut payroll.

Marion is highly overrated, last thing we need is another player that can't make the 3 consistently, we just traded away one of those guys.

Yao wont be around for 4-5 years, he has a lot of weight that he is carrying and his knees, ankles and feet are just not strong enough to last in the league for 4+ years

If we keep Ron somehow, then we will need to sign a #2 guard first and foremost. Unless Wafer explodes and becomes an almost All Star, which I don't expect to happen. But I see Wafer as our solid back up 2 guard for a few years.

As long as Shane is our starting 3, forget winning anything serious. He should come off the bench behind Artest at best; or be traded for a starting 2 guard or a legit back up center.

I still think we should have traded Tmac for Baron Davis and Camby, if it was even possible, then we would only need a starting 2 guard.

Even now, I really wish that Adelman would start Wafer at the 2 and Ron at the 3 and bring Battier off the bench. I think Wafer and Brooks will play better with Artest, Scola and Yao...and Lowry will need Barry and Battier and Landry to kick out to and finish better with him.

Will someone please tell RA to play Deke some so that Yao can rest and our 4's don't have to play center!
