Hey fellow Clutchfans members...since I a rookie and can not start threads. I think it would be a great idea to ask everyone on clutchfans to vote on nba.com to get the Rockets on TUESDAY FAN NIGHT. The have the Rockets vs. Suns as a choice for the Tues. Nov 14th game. If we don't get respect from the national media...we can make some noise on their fan night voting. Thanks!
That was truly ridiculous. I just don't understand how a guy who played basketball at such a high level for so long could be so clueless in his analysis.
I only tuned in for a couple of minutes, but did anyone else see when they were doing the promo for the Red Rowdies. Clyde said something to the effect of (to paraphrase) "You can be anything in the Red Rowdies -- except actually be red." Bill awkwardly laughed, and then Clyde looked at the camera with the "what the **** did I just say" face.
Goodness I miss Calvin. That being said, Clyde is just so dang out there, that's it quite comical. To me, sometimes he is hilarious, and sometimes he just gets annoying.
I liked when he said something along the lines of Chuck Hayes on the pick and roll being "one of the best rollers in the game, using his quickness to get to the basket" Hmmmm
Haha, I remember that. Seriously, if I was bill I just would of responded with "Yes Clyde, that's why I freakin said it."
Another one was when they were talking about the stat guys (paraphrase) Bill: Those guys are the best, they have been there for almost 30 years Clyde: No, no they have not, not that long. Bill: They certainly have, they had been around for years even before the championship seasons. Clyde: Yep, I agree with you.
Last night Bill said something about one of the Grizzlies players after a good shot... Bill- "This kid can really play" Clyde-" He is a basketball player..." Really, I thought he was a Rugby player... LOLed at that one.
I thought it was funny last night (11/11) when Bill announced the refs and Clyde says "try saying that three times fast" like it was a tongue twister so Bill repeats himself without a problem and Clyde says "well folks, I work with the best". You could tell Bill was thinking it really wasn't that hard. Clyde is a great guy but a horrible analyst.
After Marcus Williams posted up Aaron Brooks on the only occasion that this occurred the entire game: Bill: "Teams have been posting up Brooks a lot lately, Clyde." Clyde: "Well, Marcus Williams is one the best post-up guards in the league, Bill." REALLY?!
I can't stop lauging everytime I hear him say this. I just know that Bill wants to slap the crap out of him because he stays silent for a couple of seconds.
