No I made it up, but the fact you asked speaks volumes about Clyde "playing fundamental basketball is fundamental" Drexler.
I love Clyde! I mean, at this point, most here are knowledgeble to the point that only a color guy like JVG or Hubie really add anythig to the game for us. Therefore, that just leaves the entertainment factor. Since it doesn't look like Calvin will be returning anytime soon and Bull's "competent, yet no personility" style bores me to tears, I think Clyde's inept gaffes and general indifference are the funniest thing we have going. Here's hoping he supplies us with another year full of horrible-yet-hilarious quotes.
I guess I'm the only one that heard Clyde when he said "When he's healthy, there's no one better at the two-guard position" (in reference to Michael Redd).
At the Bucks vs. Rockets game a couple years back: Bill: Players from six continents are represented in this game. Clyde: Now we just need someone from Iceland.
Clyde is awesome. He makes watching Rockets games an event. What's he gonna say next? Clyde says the darndest things.
Bill Worell: Philadelphia is also home of a lot of some of the worlds best pride fighters Clyde Drexler: like Rocky....does Rocky count? Bill Worell: he was a good actor
I usually watch the rockets local broadcast but if Clyde is doing the game, I'll be watching it on espn haha. I'll just have to deal with him for the other games. As I said on my facebook status less than 5 minutes into the game "note to clyde drexler, stop talking."
It's weird Clyde never says anything strange about Scola. In fact, he only piles on the 'all-star' and 'consummate professional' phrases on the players underserving of those labels. Maybe Clyde is a very sarcastic MFer, we just don't know it.
