    Understandable

With the democrats, the UTube debate mainly centered on mainstream questions dealing with healthcare, the budget, the war, that sort of thing.

Can you imagine the questions republicans would face? "Mr. Giuliani if elected president will you continue to shred the constitution and continue Bush's policies of a secret government devoid of oversight?"

Ron Paul at Iowa GOP Debate last night. Note the audience response from republicans.

I can no longer vote in this poll.

I changed my party affiliation from Republican to Democrat

    From the debate:

    More Romney...

"I never said I was pro-choice, but my position was effectively pro-choice."

In response to Paul's criticism of the Iraq War: "Have you forgotten about 9/11?"

Bonus McCain quote: "We are winning, we must win, and we will not set a date for surrender, as the Democrats want us to do."

    LOL

All you can do is latching on to some quotes from Romney? I guess when you know your man Obama can't compete on real accomplishments.

How about bring some real food to the table next time.

Yes, she is. Apparently this new breed of politicians have started marrying their mistresses. I've thought of doing a hottest trophy-wife among Presidential candidates poll.

Sigh. Even though it's yet another reason I will never be a Repub nominee for President, I'm happy with Mrs. rimrocker.

    You are reaching.

So why did you disappear in the Obama/Pakistan thread, why couldn't you answer my question, what has Obama accomplished that comes close to Romney? Or maybe you just can't debate with any substance.

Just like your man Obama, all show, no go.

    LOL!!!

I think I made my point in that thread and really nothing else needed to be said.

This thread is about Republicans running for president. But since you insist, Obama has a long history of reaching across party lines to come to consensus on a wide range of issues. He's not afraid to talk to people with differing viewpoints (unlike some presidents).

    But lets see...

As an 8 year member of the Illinois state senate Obama (via his wikipedia)...

Reviewing Obama's career in the Illinois Senate, a February 2007 article in the Washington Post noted his work with both Democrats and Republicans in drafting bipartisan legislation on ethics and health care reform. In a July 2007 article, The New York Times credited Obama with leading the passage of an Illinois state law mandating videotaping of homicide interrogations, and another law that "required the police to collect data on the race of drivers they stopped as a way to monitor racial profiling." The same article also reported that Obama "was a chief sponsor of a law enhancing tax credits for the working poor, played a central role in negotiations over welfare reform and successfully pushed for increasing child care subsidies." During his 2004 general election campaign for U.S. Senate, Obama won the endorsement of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police, whose officials cited his "longtime support of gun control measures and his willingness to negotiate compromises," despite his support for some bills the police union had opposed.
