You're right. The calendar is moved up considerably for 2008 because everyone is so eager to get this assclown out of the white house! ;)

And you're right about Kerry, but I will be surprised if McCain doesn't pull out by the end of the year.

    Guiliani.

Though I do think that his response concerning 9/11 to Ron Paul during the Republican debate was both idiotic and disingenuous faux-patriot nonsense.

"None of the above" leads Republican candidates

In a new AP/Ipsos Poll, 25% of Republican respondents say they are either undecided or would prefer someone other than the current field — more than the vote share of any actual candidates listed in the poll

    In the horse-race numbers,

Rudy Giuliani leads the GOP side with 21%, followed by Fred Thompson at 19%, John McCain at 15%, and Mitt Romney at 11%.

    McCain losing it --

    McCain snaps: ‘Finished’ discussing campaign

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A frustrated Sen. John McCain snapped Wednesday when asked by CNN about his troubled presidential campaign and vowed he would no longer answer questions on that topic.

“I’m not going to talk about my campaign anymore,” McCain said in a sharp tone. “I’m finished with talking about it. I’ve talked about it for two weeks. I will not discuss it or any aspect of it. Thank you.”

McCain’s patience may have been worn thin by his lack of sleep as he managed the Defense authorization bill through the wee hours of the morning.

The question that triggered McCain’s response was whether or not he was going to keep a scheduled meeting Wednesday with his congressional supporters to explain why his campaign is not in dire condition. Eileen McMenamin, the Arizona Republican’s spokeswoman, declined to elaborate whether McCain would no longer talk – ever – about his campaign or just not talk about it while in the Capitol. But she did say he remains a candidate and will be back on the trail next week – with reporters in tow.

Isn't that going to make it hard to campaign? I presume while on the campaign trail he talks about why he should be the Republican nominee.

Sorry, but in my opinion, Romney hasn't a chance. And I haven't been impressed with him. Of course, to be fair, I'm a Democrat. :)

if i was a democrat i would be pulling for count guilliani. wouldnt you just love to see the republicans nominate a pro-choice, pro-gun control, 3 times divorced transvestite whose own children will not have anything to do with him?

I don't know... on the face of it, I'd say you're right, but never underestimate to collective thick-headedness of the American body politic.

Around this time, Bill clinton was hardly in it. If I remember correctly, he was hovering around 1% to 2%.

As of now, most people are voting based off name recognition. Everyone knows who Guiliani is. That is why he is the front runner. As the campaign picks up in late 07 and early 08, you will probably see his support drop. I expect Ron Paul's to pick up. Why is he so successful over the internet? As more and more people listen to him in the main stream, he is going to be more and more popular.

Guess who the troops support, more than anyone else? That's right, Ron Paul.

All except for McCain (desperate) and Paul (doesn't care who he ticks off) are too chicken to appear in a YouTube debate.

I thought the need for controlled audiences was just a Bush thing, but it seems to have permeated the rest of the party.
