Giuliani is a one trick pony, running on 9/11 and nothing else. A slicker version of George Bush, the difference being that he doesn't pretend to be a Texan. D&D. Replicant City.
I'm waiting for the Interent to start proclaiming Mitt Romney as the antichrist since he is Mormon. Once Bush is gone somebody has to play the roll of antichrist.

they are obviously very scared of him, especially on foxnews. despite all the attacks made against him, he still came in a close 2nd on their very own poll. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
ron paul going at it on wolf blitzer demanding an apology from tranny guiliani and demanding that as mayor of nyc, he actually read the 9/11 commission report. "here he is, mayor of new york city, bragging about all this security and he hasnt even read the report." its 6 minutes long, but listen to what he has to say from 2:55 to 4:00 - he nails it. paul also points out that on the fox news poll he beat tranny guiliani - HAHAHAHAHA!!! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rF3NtEWj6ws"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rF3NtEWj6ws" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
here is about 5 minutes of foxnews trying to spin the fact that ron paul is winning in their very own call in poll as not a big deal. they are truly perplexed by the fact that he is winning and it is quite hilarious. despite being constantly attacked for his statements regarding 9/11, he still came in 2nd in their poll. they are now so threatened by him that they are trying to get him kicked out of the debates. duncan hunter on why paul is winning - "there is alot of entertainment there and people want entertainment". hannity - "in my view ron paul did not win that debate. i disagree with him winning, but i havent sent in my text vote yet". fox commentator - "paul hurt himself tonite. im not looking at polls, im looking at my reaction to it". <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FXE45ncH1a8"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FXE45ncH1a8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
ron paul on hannity and colmes "i would be delighted to debate guilliani on foreign policy where we each got to explain our positions." ron paul doesnt put up w/ hannity either - he basically speaks to him like a little child. paul twice tells hannity "you wont let me answer". <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i2fxzliDhSk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i2fxzliDhSk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Ron Paul would have been right if it was 1990 before the 1st Gulf War. Today, however, pulling back and doing nothing will only invite more aggression. So yea, RP is the most conservative candidate out there, but since when did a pure ideologue ever become president?
This is from the previous debate: http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NGU2ZWY0MGZmYjAwYmU4NTg5MjJhOWRjMTg3MjZjMjc= Last night Ron Paul supporters flanked out across the web, voting in polls (including MSNBC's) and swamping comments sections in huge numbers. We've reached a point where this sort of thing is immediately recognizable as the disproportionate impact of the over-committed. It's like netroot spam and seminar callers on C-SPAN. I liked Ron Paul last night. I'm glad he's in the race. But I'm already exhausted by what I know will be a long summer of e-pestering from Paulites about the "mass movement" sweeping the nation that won't earn more than a handful real votes, anywhere. There is a reason he wins all the dumbass non-scientific polls and has no support in the statistically sound ones.
Well, I just think Mitt Romney is a nice looking man. Who wouldn't want such a handsome man being the face of the nation? And I think having a President who's religion limits him to only defensive violence would be so...refreshing. People seem to love out squinty eyed cowboy governor and all he really has going for him is his looks.
For some reason, I trust the political alliances and compromise of a group of visionaries who were trying to ensure the future of a nation, whose brilliance and foresight have been confirmed time after time, over the vote-chasing/lobbyist-appeasing group that we have now.
romney and guliani's disgraceful 'enhanced interrogation techniques' and attempt to display big balls is disgusting.
They were visionaries but one could also say they got lucky too. Since there wasn't a popular vote at the time they weren't vote chasing but the founding Fathers certainly had interest groups they appeased.
interesting... i don't think there is much choice but for the party to split. we will see some strong 3rd and 4th party candidates this go round i think. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/05/17/AR2007051702134.html we need you man -
Fred Thompson will enter this race soon. He's probably a pretty good candidate for the religious right. Edit: Spelled his name wrong
The most delicious part of all this is how it exposes the divisivness of dogma. And the cherry on top is the blatant hypocrisy. The big tent party, the religion of tolerance...right in there with fiscal conservatism, personal responsibility and competence!
Just watched some of the Ron Paul videos and I will agree with him that his position is the more original conservative and Republican position. He's advocating an isolationist position that the Republican party once championed in the first part of the 20th C.. The problem for hm is that since the Cold War and with Neo-Conservatism is that the Republican party is now the interventionist party. That was pretty clear in the comments that Giuliani made on the Hannity and Colmes video, "I would never imagine hearing that from a Republican."
Frankly Fred Thomas would get killed in an election by virtue of the fact that he's a horrible cornerback regardless of what party he is in.
