    After today's game ...

    1st player ... OL
    2nd player ... safety
    3rd player ... RB
The rest ... draft for at least quality depth in the secondary. We need help!

Say bye to Faggins! Thank God!

LOL, why, so he can win the national title at UCF? Or go to disney world a few more times or the great UCF college atmosphere?

    Doubtful.

I thought Hutchins and Demps played pretty well this year. I'd have no problem with those two starting next year at safety. I would definitely look into drafting another corner on the 1st day though.

Rick Smith was just on Inside the Texans and said that they would look to solve LT and RB first, in that order, then go from there. That sounds good to me.

Felix Jones - Remember this name cause he will be a steal for whoever takes him. McFadden gets all the attention and hype and naturally he deserves it but Jones is just as good as a runner. He is playing great this year with 9.1 YPC and 1117 yards on the season playing in the shadow of DMac.

He will be the Joseph Addai of this draft.

**** you gotta be kidding me. Last in the NFL in turnover ratio and one of the worst defensive teams against the pass in the NFL. You cant get into the playoffs without fixing that.

Was he talking about the draft or in general?

I'm pretty surprised at this. He must really believe Dunta is going to come back strong. That injury looked career threatening to me. I'd say you have to have a LT and a cornerback in the off-season via draft or free agency. Running back should be the third priority. I might even take 2 db's or ol's before I worried about running back.

Corner, D-line (Travis Johnson and Weaver have not been effective...), RB, left tackle....in that order.

our o-line didn't do badly this season. The cornerback position is a dire need, especially given Dunta's uncertainty

    OL, RB, then DB

given how much is invested in schaub, they need to make sure he can play a whole season.

i think the DL is getting there and will be able to apply more pressure on opposing QBs next season.

we also need help for the sorry excuse for a running game.

hurts not having a 2nd rounder this year. but if we can come out of the draft w/ a solid LT thatll be able to provide protection to schaub then id consider it a good draft.

I'd love to have a shot @ the following FAs:

Flozell Adams - yeah he is getting older, but you could do worse at the LT spot

Michael Turner - pipe dream unless we blow him away with money

Marcus Trufant - Not a top flight DB, but could fill in until Daunte is back to 100%

I'd like us to go after either Michael Turner or Julius Jones in free agency and draft the best LT available in the first round.

I'd rather do the opposite. RBs are the one position that can come in and contribute almost immediately, sticking a LT right into the fire may or may not work as well.

What do y'all think of Walker. I still think we need to pick up a #1 RB, but he has played well and I think he gives us the option of maybe waiting until the 2nd day to pick up a RB.

Walker looks like a good 3rd down back to me. I don't see him as an every down back in the NFL.

I like Walker and agree with the above poster who said he is more of a change of pace type ideally but I will say this, he is better than Ron Dayne whose time here should absolutely be done. If this means Walker's role is greater than third down/change of pace back then so be it.

Will Green be brought back? If he is, I think we can get by with him, Walker and that other kid who was hurt Chris Taylor. I'm not against drafting one in the 4th round or later that is unless one of the studs fall to us in the first. I think the secondary, o-line and linebacker are greater needs.

I think Green is 50/50. The Texans made a bad decision on that move and may just have to cut their losses.

I think OL, DB & RB should be our priorities in that order. The blocking scheme that Kubiak uses is designed to be able to plug in an average to good RB and succeed. We should be ok with Green, Walker, Dayne and a later round draft pick.

By the way, Refman; I read your sig to my wife and she died laughing!! :D

I can't see any reason to draft an RB in the first round unless they are elite and then some. The Texans should probably look at OL and secondary. I think those are the two positions you can never have enough quality depth at. I like how some teams are drafting players who have the flexibility to play safety or corner, too.

Is their draft position official yet? I haven't seen if the non-playoff teams draft order has been determined yet, although I'm sure that tiebreakers can't totally be determined until the teams left play. Or are the playoff games not used at all for strength of schedule? Hmmm.....just curious.

    They pay well at UCF.
