Well, watching probably my favorite baseball player carry Boston is about enough to make me sick.....

Oh well, at least the Cubs are 0-2!

    Who's that?

I'm feeling that way about Manny helping LA. But it is making it okay because the Red Sox are still winning and LA is beating on the Cubs.

    Go Red Sox!

Placing my feelings aside though, if I were a Boston fan letting go of Manny would be tough. Lucky for you, J-Bay is the real deal. He's been one of the more underrated players in baseball for years.

Oct 2nd Playoffs pitched 6.1 innings gave up 6 hits and 7 runs with 3 of them earned.

Sep 24 @ NYM he pitched 4.2 innings gave up 3 hits and 5 earned runs

Sep 19 STL he pitched 1.2 innings gave up 6 hits and 8 earned runs

    Sep 14 Mil Astros (post Ike) W 9.0 0 0 0 0

Sep 2 HOU -Pitched 5.0 innings gave up 5 hits and 3 earned runs

Aug 26 @ PIT - pitched 4.1 innings gave up 8 hits and 6 earned runs

If you don't count the Astros he had a 10.6 ERA over his last games since Aug 6th. Right smack in the middle of this crap, gas can type performance, he throws a no-no? Come on! that no hitter was bogus.

Let's not go overboard.. Bay had a craptastic year last year and had to re-prove himself this year. He did it and is a good player, but I wouldn't have called him underrated after what he did all of last year

So much for the NL Central being the leagues best division.

Frankly, with more starting pitching, the Astros have a better than average shot of making the playoffs out of this division... given that the Brewers will regress, the Cubs will implode at some point, and the Cardinals are likely to stick with attempting to rebuild Carpenter and Mulder (and not acquire more fresh arms that they will eventually ruin as well).

A world series 100 years ago is a better winning percentage than none in 50 years.

    just sayin.
