Cubs just had a debacle of a 2nd inning.

two errors on easy as pie double plays that would have ended the inning, instead they got no outs.

    Dodgers scored 5 runs

This is beyond awesome. The Scrubs can melt in many different ways and it's a joy to watch.

What non-baseball entity will they blame it on? I'll say the VP Debate.

Casey Blake was safe by about 5 blinks of an eye. I can't believe that call. It was entirely obvious that he beat Zambrano's throw in real time. Slow mo made it painfully obvious. That umpire is either incompetent or cheating.

I am in the same boat. When I was growing up the Dodgers were *the* mortal enemy. The Dodgers are actually a pretty appealing and dangerous team. They have a nice mix of homegrown talent and the God-like Manny Ramierez. I have a feeling Armageddon is going to happen and the Dodgers and Red Sox are heading to a cage match.

good to see Lidge come back as far as he has.. I always liked him even when giving up gopher balls after the Pujols shot. he never made excuses and didnt rock the boat.

oh and the Brewers deserve everything they get. curse them and the cubbies too.

No joke. That was brutal. Fukudome started off the season pretty well in April/May but then just did a corkscrew the final few months.

OH NOES! Francisco Rodriguez just gave up a crushing, massive home run to JD Drew to lose the game and probably the series. He's a headcase, career over!

I hear that ball will be in orbit for decades, while K-Rod will probably be dreaming of JD Drew for years. In fact, he'll probably have visions of Drew every time he takes the mound for the remainder of his career. If the Angels were smart, they'd definitely let him go, regardless of price.

(For anyone who can't tell, no I'm not being serious at all. :))
