Also, don't forget that Richardson has experience running a bureaucracy as governor of New Mexico as well as high-level international experience. Also, like Obama, he is a gifted speaker but with Hispanic roots.
I would be interested in Richardson, if he runs. I have an open mind. There is something about a gifted, intelligent, well educated charismatic speaker that gets to me, however, and that's what Obama is, experienced or not. Jack, and even more so, Bobby Kennedy had that. (more so because he had more "bottom" IMO) You can't learn it. Either you have it, or you don't, in my opinion. I really like that ability in a politician. Having policies you agree with counts for a lot, obviously, but being able to articulate them and lead the nation towards a goal is also important. Reagan also had that ability, although I didn't a belief in his policies, in the main. Bush has the charisma of a stump, and the intelligence of a pet rock. D&D. Rocks are Hard.
I agree, and I think in a general election that more than any stance on issues, or canddidate's practical experience is what will actually win it. That may not be the ideal way we wish the electorate would vote, but it is the way it has gone over and over again.

I'm sure you've heard the noise about Bloomberg. I tend to think there's not room for him or any other moderate candidate in this race, as the likely nominees will be relatively moderate or will at least be likeable enough that relatively extreme ideology will be forgiven and forgotten. Depending on who the nominees are I think there might be room for an extreme third party candidate. If McCain or (somehow) Guiliani got the GOP nod, I could see a religious right candidate emerging. If Hillary or (somehow) Biden was the Dem I could see another Nader-like thing going down. And there's always the possibility of a Ron Paul or Bob Barr libertarian bid, assuming Paul's not in the GOP race. If there is a third-party candidate (or more than one), I think it could have a profound impact on the race -- that's assuming the GOP can get its groove back in time to make for a tight race, which I think they can. But I definitely don't see a third-party candidate having any serious shot at breaking 10%.
Some of those questions were worded with very liberal-leaning language. As expected, Balack Obama was in last place. He is EXTREMELY liberal, and a threat to all Americans. 100%) 1: Sen. I'm leaning towards Obama right now. New blood is what we need. I'd personally love to see an Obama/Richardson ticket. The combination seems natural to me. Richardson has the expierence of running a government and foreign policy expertise. Add that to him being hispanic and you have a very formidable ticket. Failing that, I would take Edwards, too. I wouldn't be suprised to see Clinton dropping out sometime around South Carolina. I just don't see a strong enough republican right now. It's amazing how that's changed over the last year. I can see Hagel winning the nomination. I think McCain has completely sold out and that is a damn shame. Serious question...Can you seriously vote for someone named "Mitt"?
if he was in the senate for 12 years, people would hold it against obama saying he would be part of the same old tired regime.
That is true. Not to mention they are all ridiculously superficial. It is still interesting that Hillary was your #1 Dem, though. You guys should have an affair and make non-Bill-ified babies. It could be your ultimate Slick Willy revenge.
I guess it depends on how you read your chart... from here, it looks like Allen is the one in last place.
Hillary is going to score well amongst Repubs taking that survey (though for most of us not as well as she did for The_Conquistador), though we would probably not choose her if we were going to vote Democrat.
