Put both Cleveland and Detroit in the West and they'd barely make it into the playoffs….and even if they did make it, they'd both be out in the first round.

The Spurs are going to show em what team basketball is all about. I don't care how good Lebron plays, the Cavs are going to get blown out every friggin game. Book It.

yes lebron got the easiest bracket of anyone in recent memory (NBDL wiz, no big men nets, and no go-to guy pistons). but hey, a win is a win. congrats to lebron. i hope he puts up a good fight b/c i would love for lebron to make a name for himself. he's one of the rare unselfish superstars that loves to pass before scoring/

I watched the Cavs a lot, though not as much as you did. They are playing their best ball at the right time. If they keep playing intense defense, the Cavs will have a chance to win games. On the other hand, their offense must take a step forward or the Spurs will choke them to death. The Spurs are excellent at taking away 1st and 2nd options and they will make it very hard on LBJ if his outside shot isn't falling.

Spurs in 5. Hope I'm wrong. The parallel between LBJ and the Cavs this year facing the mighty Spurs to MJ and the Bulls in 1991 facing the mighty Lakers just won't leave my mind. But an objective, sane person has to pick the Spurs to win this series handily.

i hope the spurs win. if the cavs somehow find a way to win, the universe would implode.

I wonder how gigantic LeBron's ego will be if he wins the title this year...

Can you be considered a "dynasty" if you have never defended your championship the following year?

If you win 4 in 9 seasons; and never win fewer than 55 games, nor ever get knocked out in the 1st round; damn straight.

Nah, you have to defend it at least once...

For ****'s sake, the amount of hating going on in this thread is ridiculous! We have people trying to knock down a player that just single handedly took one of the worst supporting casts in NBA history to the finals! I don't care what the level of competition in the Eastern Conference is right now, this is a guy who's second best player in the conference final is a tossup between Daniel Gibson, Anderson Varejao, or Zydrunus Ilgauskus! Some fans need to take a step back, stop saying every great non-rocket has an ego problem, a bad attitude, has things easy for being in the East, or is too cocky. Give me a break and give LeBron some well deserved credit for making it to the finals FOUR YEARS REMOVED FROM HIGH SCHOOL!

While I'd love to see a long series to give Lebron more opportunity to do amazing things, I'm fully expecting a Spurs sweep. Not only are the Spurs better in just about every category, they are damned good at stepping on a team's neck when they are down, so they won't let up if they get the Cavs down 0-2 or 0-3.

the refs/stern might go "wade" on lebron though. He's one of the golden boys and the league would benefit greatly from him winning. I am actually expecting LeBron to get the "calls" his "way".

I agree the play offs is different. However i'm not impressed with the cavs team. I do not think they would get out of the first round in the West.

Than being said. I'm really impressd with Lebron. I think he can become an amazing player(if he isn't one already). I'm looking forward to see how Lebron is going to play against the Spurs. But i think the cavs are just nog a good enough team to make it difficult for the Spurs.

I'm not sure if this is the worst team in the finals in a long time. Remember the Sixers made it to the finals and the nets also. Both teams are worse teams then the cavs are.

As much as it pains me to say... Spurs in 4.

(But God how I hope the Cavs somehow pull it off!)

Why a few people think the Cavs have a chance beating the Spurs? Do they think the Cavs are better than the Nuggets or the Jazz? I think both the Nuggets or the Jazz can beat the Cavs in a 7 games series. It'll really surprise me if the Cavs can push the series to 6 games.

Big. Causing something like "The LeBrons" making an appearance on ESPN every other commercial. Every National TV game would have Cleveland. They would bring in LeBron on a throne chair at home games and he would throw out money.

step back from what. i don't think anyone is saying that lebron isn't an amazing player but making the finals out of the east is a step below making the second round in the west. it is honestly that bad, and the road that the cavs took before detroit was the easiest of the easy. lebron is impressive but the cavs basically got the ONLY scenario in which they had a shot at making the finals. excuse me if i don't suck him off over that.

I highly doubt that the Spurs will sweep the Cavs, it'll probably be a 6 game series with the Cleveland scrubs going nuts in one game and Lebron in another one

Had the Mavs made it out of first round, they would've steamrolled both Spurs and Cavs
