I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the author said one of the best scenarios for the US is to be in the same group with Germany, France and Spain. He must be drunk when he wrote it.

He didn't say that, reread it.

It's a respect thing that the US still doesn't get. BTW, the Czech Republic is one of the best teams in the world and will be considered one of the favorites in 2006.

Here's to a Spain, Angola, Switzerland, USA group!

That's right, I was just looking at the top ones from each pot and didn't pay attention to that. But my argument stands that we'd be in an easier group if we were seeded.

He was saying that of the teams in Pot 1 those would be the best for us to be put into a group with, but only one of them. And I think I would have to disagree about Germany they're a lock for making it out of the group stages meaning only one other team from their group will advance.

Sounds good, but I'd take Togo over Angola. ;)

I hope we get a good draw.....but a number 1 seed does not guarantee you get out of the first round...just ask France.

So...if the WC committee uses past WC results as a basis for seeding then you're cool with it, but it US fans reference the most recent WC matchup between two teams, all of the sudden it's "Who cares"?

"Double", I'd like you to meet "standard". I'm sure you'll be good friends.

Ok, you want to talk about the last game, I want to talk about the Mexico WC history (better than the US) in the 98 WC US, were ranked in the last place.

I think it have no sense to remind this, but neither have sense remember the last WC game between those two.

Czech has a great team, i wouldn't want to meet them in the first round if i was the US. o bad van gaa coulnd't get us qualified for the last worldcup, otherwise we would have been in the top pool. I hope we eet Germany i the first round, they aren't very good(sorry SJC), and i love the rivalry, otherwise i wouldn't mind having mexico as group leader.

You know how much money i won in 94 on the Suadi vs Columbia game that year. WOOOO i was in England with my uncle at the time and i wagered a bunch of different outcomes with Saudi winning just cause of the odds. One of the picks i had was 2 -1 and it was like something around 80 -1 odds hahah....great times....

Only bad thing being that was the year that Iran should have been in it but was knocked out by playing like crap allowing Saudi to be in it....Either way good memories from that world cup.

Oh, yeah... and for everyone telling me Czech Rep. is a good team, I meant to write "poor team like BLAH or good team like Czech Rep...."

OK OK OK... so I didn't ever see Czech Rep.'s games... ya happy now??? :p
No, I meant that if they do this, I am like: "who cares?"... if they do it to Mexico and Mexico had been better than the U.S. in recent games, I wouldn't whine about it. I have NOT ever said that MEXICO is better. All I am saying is don't freakin' WORRY ABOUT THIS SH*T!!!! Don't you listen?

DaDakota has the right frame of mind. France is exhibit A.
