    san antonio win, no doubt.

    4-2 im gonna guess.

im not big on Dallas after the first round last year - but just to see someone different in the Finals im supporting them.

thats , of course, if the Clippers cant get in there :)

    Spurs in 6,

Next season dallas rearranges their team again.

Dallas is a gimmick team, when you have a 7 footer with no appetite for a post up game, there is no way you can win it all.

When someone calls this series a waste of time, thats is some extreme ignorance. You have 2 of the top 3 teams playing against each other. Both teams play extremely well. A hell of a lot better than the Clippers or the Suns. You have got to be kidding me if you do not think that this series is going to decide the West.

The only reason Suns are still in the playoffs is cause they played a team with Kobe and a bunch of morons. Clippers will man handle them in the post. Suns will never, ever win a championship with the way they play. Clippers, although a good team, are not a great one.

I am predicting a repeat of last year in the finals with Spurs taking one home again. You can't help but admire this team, when they are not tanking.

For me, it won't matter until next season when the Rockets are facing the Spurs in the 2nd round. One year from now, I am predicting an upset :D .

Unless you didn't watch or care about the Rockets in '99, it's three.

lol what the hell are you talking about. How does that relate ?

If you cared about rockets in 99 you'd know they are different teams and spurs didn't choke in 99  I don't care about that title much any way.

Oh, I thought you were saying two and not giving them credit for the '99 one for the absurd asterisk logic. The reason I mentioned the Rockets is because most fans who consider that season an "asterisk" didn't breathe that word... until the Rockets were eliminated and a team they didn't like won. So, their reasoning isn't objective and is thus quite faulty. But, my mistake... I made the assumption that you were referring to that and I was apparently wrong. My bad.

The crowd is chanting Javie sucks, I believe.

Oh, and Reggie Miller as an announcer is terrible this game. I don't care if you're the aggressor. I don't care who you are. If a player (Barry) is standing still outside of the circle and gets run over, it's a bad call. If a player (Parker) is thrown off the block and somehow gets called for a blocking foul, it's a bad call. You can't dismiss every bad call as acceptable simply because the other team is more aggressive. On some of the more borderline calls, maybe, but some of these calls aren't even close, and you can't just dismiss it on an illogical factor that isn't even in the rulebook.

One of the worst officiated games I have ever watched. I'll give the Mavericks credit for their play but some of those calls by the refs...wow. I'm just waiting for one of the Spurs to blow a fuse and punch Javy in the face

"Javy sucks" is what they're chanting.

I think the refs have been brutal, but with Ginobili's flopping, Bowen's dirty tactics.....I love it. The Spurs get away with so much usually and it's nice to see the Spurs get hosed a few times in a big game like this.

    Javie is pretty bad though.

I think the Spurs b-ball forum might have a similar thread to the one we had last year after the Game 5 debacle by the refs.

I wonder how much Cuban is paying them...

well, reggie miller is right about one thing. karma is a b**** and what's good for the goose is good for the gander. not only was it ironic that Manu got elbowed in the jaw, it was also funny b/c he got called for the foul. with that said, this has been a really poorly officiated game.

Honestly, the Mavs have played well enough that they would win this game even without the officiating. So, as a fan, it's not all that frustrating as it would be if the game were close. It's just... the TNT crew really gets on my nerves with their weak attempts to justify the calls. The Mavs are the more aggressive and better team tonight, but it doesn't justify some of the completely awful calls they've been making. The announcers need to do a decent job of holding them accountable so there's pressure on them not to mess up again, and they're not doing a very good job.

Anyway, as far as the series, this definitely makes it interesting. Lot of pressure on the Spurs to mentally respond in Game 3 and, win or lose, make some adjustments to give them confidence on how they can score with these guys.
