She photographs well, with the correct base coat of make up and proper retouching.

My beef with her is not that she's ugly, it's just that she's not nearly as hot as ESPN decided to make her out to be. She was in the SI swimsuit issue a few years ago and she was clearly second tier, airbrush or no - up next to a bunch of supermodels and kournikova. Not her fault, but if you're going to become famous cause of your looks its fair game.

An exciting game. TD almost played a perfect game, very aggressive. The Spurs shot a 60%+, and barely won by one point. My question is, how far can NBA go like that? With the new rules, guards at offensive end will have a step on you for sure, if he decides to drive. Once he's in, the big guys are at refs' mercy. If you try to block, the guard will creat contact, and bump into you, kick you, or just scream at you, you will be called for a foul. If you try to draw a charge, well, good luck, you are a big guy, you can't draw charges like a pu$$y. Then there is the holly restrict zone, it's up to refs' intepretation, no matter you are 2 feet outside or inside the zone.

The winning formula? Very simple, find yourself a couple of young legs who can shoot, no matter short or tall, just make sure they don't play a post game, because they will be treated as fragile China at premieter, and garbage if you play down low. Defense? Just save the energy, great basketball minds like Steve Kerr doesn't want to see that kind of play.

I haven't read all of the pages, but I was talking with my wife last night, and started thinking about the Mavs.

I asked her, (she's from Dallas and I live there now, so imagine the heat I took last year) "Do you think that Avery Johnson's signing as a player and ultimate grooming to become head coach was for this very playoff series?" The Mavs are basically the "Spurs v2.0"

Mark Cuban is one smart son of a mother. How are you gonna get to the Finals? Beat the Spurs. How are you gonna do that? Become the Spurs v2.0!

It seems that you are assuming that everyone here is bias only against the Mavs. While the dislike for the Mavs is there, I think most of us hate the Spurs just as much. So if the officiating is horrible, no matter who it favors, I think it will be acknowledged. What plays did you find unfair?

Also, I don't buy in to looking at how many free throws each team shot to see who the refs favored. To me, that seems like you want each team to shoot the same amount of free throws regardless of how many times you are fouled, agressive towards the basket, and play in the post (which in all likelihood would give a team more free throws).

And the last play was NOT a foul. That would have been a total b*tch call to end it like how they did send the previous game to overtime. Parker had his hand on Nowitzki but it's not like you're not allowed to touch anyone, and it's not like he dislodged Nowitzki in anyway. Nowitzki didn't flop either. He was just unaware of the time and was trying to get a very quick tip-in.

I also thought of Clutch City when I saw the "I Believe" sign. Then I knew they were jocking us with the "Never underestimate the heart of a champion" sign

On another note, what's the ruling on resetting the shot clock on jump balls? The Mavs had the ball at the end with maybe a little less than 2 second differential of shot clock and game clock. There's a jump ball and the shot clock stayed the same. No one gained possession and there was another jump ball. Then that time the shot clock was turned off.

Understand your frustration. Let Stern and his puppies are turning the NBA games into an American sports dominated by the seven dwarfs. We will see how it goes in the next 10-20 years.

Why do you think the refs are only brought up when the Mavericks win?

Like I said earlier, it was a foul but I agree it shouldn't have been called. Watch the replay and you can clearly see that Parker had a handful of jersey which restricted Dirk's ability to elevate. If that happens in the first 46 minutes of the game, that is a foul every time. You can even see Tony Parker look around at the refs to see if he was called for it before he starts to celebrate and walk off the court. As a Mavs fan, I believe that Dirk would have caught it cleanly and had an easy tip in if not for the hold. Smart play by Parker, and now the Mavs have to go get Game 6.

If they had hand check rules back when Derek Harper played, he would have been a scrub and Kenny Smith would have looked like an All-star in the Finals.

In fact, Derek Harper was the reason they started to implement hand check rules.

Game is being pu$$ified and the floppers are reigning supreme.

I think the hand check rule is an old rule, it's just one that they're starting to enforce, like the NFL starting doing with the 5 yard no contact with WRs rule.

Because there happened to be more controversial calls in those games. It's not like everyone thinks the refs only do bad against the Mavs. People were talking about PHX getting the short end of the stick vs LAL. People were talking about LeBron walking against the Wizards. ETC....

This board has plenty of disgust for the Spurs dating back to at least the days of Dream vs. Mermaid. Bowen is dirty and I can't stand Manu for the same reasons I can't stand Dirk- they go around flailing and pouting about it. If you're going to go looking to draw fouls, fine, take the contact and go to the line - Sam Cassell is a good example of it.

Parker had a hand barely on him, not a fistful of jersey. Before that, Dirk pushes off of him.

For as much as he demolished us, I actually like Jason Terry's game a lot, though punching a guy in a close game is stupid and bush league.

Rockets fans are going to be as impartial as it gets as far as Spurs-Mavs. Most of us would like to see if there's a way for them both to lose this series.

I apologize for this being offensive in advance, and will say that I kind of like Mark Cuban, but whenever I see him nodding his head with a stout neck and with his too-bushy eyebrows I think he somewhat resembles a mentally challenged individual.

Is it me, or is Dirk's act getting really old????????
It started with the series with the rockets last year......the refs just seem to take care of him in the playoffs.
If you think about it, Dirk really doesn't do much.....doesn't play defense, not very good back to the basket game.....
He can shoot well, and when he puts the ball on the floor, it's a virtual guarantee there's going to be a fould called on someone so he can go to the line (I believe in game 3 he attempted like 24 ft's).
He plays only to get calls from the refs....
I'm completly surprised they didn't call a foul on Bowen for that block......

it's quite mind-boggling that a PERIMETER player such as Dirk gets so many free throws. how can someone who shoots 3s and fadeaways get so many calls? i can't find an explanation...oh yea, he flops.

    Dirk's line for game 3: 27 pts, 3-9 FG, 21-24 FT
That's just freakin insane for a perimeter player.
