Remember when everyone was equating Elgin Baylor with the likes of Babcock, Weisbrod, and Isiah.. The guy absolutely robbed Chicago of Elton Brand. Robbed Minnesota of Sam Cassell for a stiff in Marko Jaric. Drafted surprisingly well with Chris Kaman (who I figured would be a stiff) and Shaun Livingston (who has some great court vision, once he gets an offensive game, he will be great). Also, he got Maggette in a good deal.
why can't cassell and mobley hit the broadside of a barn? it's not like these are tough looks. and i could average 8 apg if i played with the guys nash plays with. finishers and shooters galore. edit: is there a record for best free throw % by a team in the playoffs? i can't imagine anyone has played 8 games and shot 200 or so free throws while shooting 90% like the suns. 11 for 11 tonight. and cassell can finally hit the barn.
its sam time! this reminds me of when Sam played with the Rockets. All of the sudden, Sam would get super hot and take over an entire game. Remember Orlando game 2? Penny Hardaway did!
i take it back, i would average at least 10 assists per game playing with these guys. it doesn't matter how contested the shot is, it goes in every time.
End of the 3rd bogus Traveling call on Magette then Diaw all over Brand's back Good home cooking for pheonix Rocket River
doug collins just compared maggette to drexler horrible comparison even if it only concerned the fast break and their power and strength as players
yeah did i see that right. it looked like he caught it on two feet, then pivoted on the 2nd one, which is legal. but that's to be expected when playing phoenix. the rulebook doesn't even matter against phoenix. maggette just got called for travelling for jumping in the air and dropping the ball. he didn't even pick it back up and was going to let a teammate grab it until they blew the whistle. how do you miss something like that (or the pushing by guys guarding brand). and i have never seen a team draw as many offensive fouls on post ups by flopping when guys move their arms. pathetic.
That was tough. Sam did everything in his power to bring them back in the 4th. He was unbelievable. Hopefully, they've learned what they need to know about the Suns and they'll come back in the next game and split the first two in Phoenix before heading back to Los Angeles.
yeah i feel for sam, wasted a 28pt game from an 'old' pg. livingston and kaman had too many turnovers. cuttino.. i'm still looking for him.
