-- The only player used to the attention was Sam Cassell, who was holding court in front of his locker, which is right next to Cuttino Mobley's. "Hey Sam," said Mobley as he dressed. "Keep your answers short b----." The response caused Sam to laugh. "What? I'm talking about you guys."
I'm pulling for the Clippers all the way since the Rockets aren't in it. I love the team. Some of the local radio guys call Cayman, "The big Tom Petty". I have to laugh everytime I see that guy.
I'm torn about the Clips. On the one hand, I do love me my Sam Cassell and Cuttino Mobley, and the rest of the bunch seem like decent enough guys too. On the other hand, I have sworn to hate Donald Sterling for being one of the two worst owners in the league and to always root for the failure of his franchise. It bothers me that he'd see success despite his suckiness, riding the coattails of Rockets alums.
I hadn't noticed that Cuttino was going bald! Sheesh, we got rid of him at just the right time. He could infect the whole team with his tears.
http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/atc0506_060419.html While I don't think I could single out one guy as my #1 favorite, Sam Cassell's pregame intro on Sunday vaulted him into serious consideration. After thanking the fans for their support, Sam dropped a Coming To America reference by shouting "Sexual Chocolate!" and slamming the microphone down on the floor. I didn't stop laughing until somewhere midway through the third period.
Doug Collins was mentioning the playoff experience Sam had.. playing with Kenny, Dream, and OTIS THORPE!!! OT gets a shout out on national TV!!!
Sam Cassell: Rockets- 2 championships Bucks- Eastern conference finals T-Wolves- Western conference finals Clippers- Western conference finals??? True winner.
Man, after that move by Evans I actually think Kaman showed restraint on the shove. WTF was that?! Evans better get a tech or more by the league after that. He was blatantly trying to instigate a fight.
WTF?!!! Evans just molested Caveman. I wouldn't be surprised if he is suspended...I would be pissed too.
Does this series prove that Carmelo Anthony was an overrated player this past season? The media was jumping to elevate him to superstar status after his solid second half, but he's been ineffective throughout the series.
Melo is still a chuker. He will be triple teamed but he will still force up a shot. He does not make his teammates better, not does he do other things beside scoring to help his team win games. Looks like he cares more about his stats at this point.
