How is Youboty not off the board and why didn't we get him?

    Charles Spencer
    Height: 6-4 3/4 | Weight: 352 | 40-Time: 5.28

    Strengths:
Has great size and a large frame...Is an excellent athlete...Moves well and has good feet for a man of his dimensions...Is extremely strong and powerful...An outstanding run blocker...Shows flashes of dominance at times...Versatile with experience at both left guard and left tackle...Has a defensive players attitude and mindset...A team leader and hard worker...Still improving and has upside.

    Weaknesses:
Needs to work on his technique and master the nuances of a single position...Did not have a great senior season when he was moved to tackle and struggled with speed rushers...Dealt with knee and shoulder injuries early in his career...Raw and needs development since he doesn't have a lot of experience on offense.

    Notes:
Played defensive tackle his first two seasons at Pitt...Moved to the offensive side of the ball as a junior and really took to it...Could project to either guard or right tackle at the next level...Has all the tools you look for and a lot of potential.

Base on the Texans history of Tony Hollings, Babbin, Joppru, Hill, Seth Wand, Ragone, Gaffney,Travis Johnson, Phillip Buchanon trade-

    Can you blame skeptics?

Winston looks like great value as long as he's healthy.

    Eric Winston
    Height: 6-6 5/8 | Weight: 310 | 40-Time: 4.94

    Strengths:
Has excellent size with long arms and the frame to pack on some additional weight...Extremely athletic and quick for the position...Has amazing feet...Mobility is outstanding...Can pull and block in space...Competitive and physical...Uses his hands well and has a good initial punch...Very smart and a hard worker with top intangibles...Gets better each game and still has a ton of upside and potential.

    Weaknesses:
Suffered a major knee injury as a junior in 2004 and didn't appear to be fully recovered yet...Has some trouble with speed rushers...Can he play left tackle or will he have to move to the right side?...Raw and is still mastering the nuances and technique of the position...Needs to get stronger and continue to develop physically...Can he get much bigger without losing his quickness and mobility?

    Notes:
Came to college as a tight end...Looked like a future elite left tackle prospect prior to the injury...Stock dropped in 2005 but that downturn in play might be attributed to his not yet being 100% healthy...It usually takes two seasons to come back from the type of surgery he had so some team may get a steal if he slips a bit on Draft Day and then reverts back to the form he showed in '03 & '04

I have to admit, this draft has got me thinking that we have turned a corner in terms of drafting. Hopefully we'll address our secondary tomorrow (Glenn Earl came 4th round, right?), but as it stands now, I think we've made gigantic strides towards building a great football team...

That Spencer kid, sounds like he's a good run blocker but weak on passing...doesn't that sound like every one of our Olinemen now?

Who knew there would be this much talent left in the 3rd round?

Well, that's that. Pretty good first day. Still not sure what to think of Mario Williams, but I'm thinking positive. Glad to see us focus on the trenches.

Can't believe we didn't take a DB at some point, though.

The Texans should be much better in the trenches where they say the game is won.
