I believe he was fantastic as a younger player - because he was always smarter than his age would show - but leveled out as he reached his athletic ceiling. Bizarre pick.

Considering the defense doesn't really have a leader, this is a good pick. Yahoo! really likes him and have him ranked #15 on their board. As long as they're able to draft a guy like Colledge in the 3rd round, I'm pretty with this draft so far.

You are smoking crack. He was a productive player but not a great player.

He is the equivalent of Jabaar Gafney when we passed on Clinton Portis.

I will bet you $100 tip jar he will never go to a pro bowl or lead the team in tackles (which isn't hard on this team).

    Demeco Ryans personal Website

I was really hoping for a CB, we better get one in the second round. CB or S, one of those or both of those. 3rd round is a better time for o-line. I am pretty happy with the texans.

So you guys complain when we take a guy who wasn't all that productive in the career, but has outstanding measurables and potential, and now you complain when we take a guy who was extremely productive but doesn't have the greatest measurables aside from great instincts?

I bleed purple and gold and have seen this kid play many times. He can ball.

    Guys, what about this scenario...

Titans coming up. What if they end up with Vince AND Justice?

What a royal screw you to Houston that would be, huh?

I think they complain because there were better players available, and the Texans have yet to address the offensive line.

Like I said earlier, how do you know they are better players for the texans? By what you hear on ESPN? The offensive line will be improved alone by Kubiak's scheme and coming from the Denver philosophy mabye he does not feel the need to burn a early pick on a O-Lineman. Instead, and offensive coach (Kubiak) is addressing our D and is picking guys who will just flat out make plays.

is LB the new trend in this draft?

so far only 1 OL and 1 WR have been pick.

i hope jimmy smith, chad jackson, sinorice moss, eric winston, or some other person falls to us in the third. one probably would the way this draft unfolded so far

You're forgetting Mangold and Joseph at OL.

What he knows about the players is no less certain than what you think you know about our line play just because Kubiak 'did it in Denver'.

All I know is that our oline has been horrible, and we've still got some of those guys. It is infinitely more logical to assume this is a need rather than just because Kubiak's here everything will be alright.

The #1 pick in the 2nd round should be a starter.

Do you think DeMeco Ryan will be a starter next year?

He is not Zach Thomas or Chris Spielman.
He was not a dominant college player nor does he have explosive upside ability.
