NBA gets what they want... a NEW SUPER GUARD is born, carrying his team to the his first champion ring!!!
Wow, this series comes down to a foul called in game 5 to rescue the heat...in a situation that a foul is NEVER called. And in Dallas, same situation, Payton grabs Terry, but there is NO call. Cuban is going to go ballistic......the refs surely played a massive role in this series, but Dallas not going to the basket and settling for jumpers....inexcusable. Avery keeping Dampier on the floor on the offensive end?? Dumb.. DD
why in the hell did they let terry take those last two shots? i think he proved in game 5 he doesn't know how to get off a quality shot at the end. takes a frikkin' 2 pointer instead of 3 b/c he's so flustered and then they let the playoffs end with him taking an off-balance 3. how about getting it to dirk, who has actually hit big shots in the playoffs and hit 2 big ones in the last game and who can get a shot off. very unwise to let terry shoot. and solid dropped pass by dampier. that 73 million isn't going a long way. surprised wade missed both ft's to keep the game alive.
Kinda how I feel. I haven't watched much of the series, but that was a really bad call on Dirk with Dallas one down, putting Wade at the free throw line. Wade just tripped. I'm not too sorry that Miami won (although I really didn't want to see Shaq get another title), but I don't like to give Mavs fans excuses.
Exactly... I don't know how ANY Rockets fan could honestly want another Texas team to get a title? A Dallas championship, in this internet age, is a MUCH bigger deal, creates much more hoopla, and would get much more air-time than the back-to-back ones the Rockets won. Hell, Cuban may have ended up running nothing but Mavs programming on HDNet 24/7 if they would have won.
I'm glad Dallas didn't win. But really couldn't care less Miami won. They were playing at full potential. Yet if Dallas had played to theirs and stepped up in crunch time, the series would have been over already in favor of the MAVs. Here's hoping to next season and the opportunity for the Rockets to smack both of these b***es.
