WOW! What an unbelievable performance by Wade. What a great game. This has to be one of the greatest playoffs in recent memory.

Unfortunate that the game was decided by the officials but it happens I guess.

I wonder how much Cuban is going to get fined after 2nite. You know he is going to shoot his mouth off.

No, they are allowed to inbound in into the backcourt in the last minute (I dont know exactly what the time frame is) or something. Its a new rule, but my heart did skip a beat when he ran back there

Wade is the new face of the NBA. His clutch 4th quaters are just amazing to watch

Thanks for the shout-out... you rock.

The last call was BS... but Wade was getting knocked to the floor all game (per AJ's strategy), and that resulted in more FT's that would have likely been layups had they not fouled. If you want to be mad at anybody, be mad at Avery who told his team to be physical with D. Wade, and not to allow easy basekets. In the end, their strategy of fouling the guy hard set a precedent that the refs continued to follow, up till the last play of the game (where there wasn't much contact).

Also, as a die-hard Kobe fan, I don't think you should be whining about refs rewarding players who drive it in and draw contact.

I've already said that the NBA refs are so screwed up in the head that they have no clue about what to do now in end of game situations. They've been horrible for the entire playoffs... it was much easier for them when they actually adopted the "old-school" style of officiating the playoffs, but ever since they've tried to use the "ticky-tack" approach like they have this year, they've looked AWFUL in more games than not.

Stern just needs to tell them to let the players play.... or just get rid of all the refs, and use college ones that don't play favorites.

I hope the refs don't try to "make up" for the foul call on Nowitzki and Howard's timeout. Shaq is right on! Look for Cuban to post on his blog tonight. He will propose the 5 second take back rule. After calling timeout, you have 5 seconds to say you were joking. What a beeeotch.

Nowitzki in the hallway was funny.

Oh, you know they will... Dallas could end up winning game 6 by more than the 40 points they beat us by.

That's one of the MAJOR problems with the NBA... officiating can truly dictate an entire game, even before the opening tip.

Okay I didn't watch the game live and I dislike Josh Howard. But I think this worth some discussions here, is it smart or dumb to call a time-out in this case?

IMHO, I think it is not dumb at all since there was only 1 second left and Wade made the first shot, tied the game. Calling a time-out at that point of time might cool him down. And Mavs need instructions for their very last play if Wade made the 2nd shot.

    Your opinions? :)

Maybe if there is more time on the clock... say 10-12 seconds... that may not have been a terrible strategy.

But, with 1.9 seconds, that's not enough time to throw the ball the length of the court, and get a decent shot opportunity. The key with the timeout was that it would have allowed the Mavs to advance the ball to halfcourt... where 1.9 seconds is plenty of time to get a good shot.

Since there was no TO, there was no advancement... bad decision.

Perhaps Howard thought he was Mr. 0.4 sec. :)

Like to know how's Avery looked like after the TO was called. Did it look like Avery intructed to call for TO or Howard make the decision by himself?

Of course it is arguable, but looking at skills/talent and ignoring age there are several guys you could put ahead of Lebron...

    Wade
    Kobe
    Dirk
    Mcgrady (healthy)
    Duncan
    Nash

Lebron's time is approaching fast...I just don't want to see everyone, particularly media, put Lebron ahead of Wade. That was my main point...I'm not really trying to shoot down Lebron.

I'm listening to Mavs radio. They're explaining the tantrum as a reaction to Miami fans who were throwing stuff at them as they left the court.

Wow. Josh Howard. There's not a single guy in the NBA I would rather have had that happen to.

Losing the game causes emotional heartache for

Dirk, Cuban, and Avery- The 3 Amigos of Whinyville.

    Awesome.

How can anyone be rooting for the Mavericks - they are a microcosm of what's wrong with America today - blaming someone else for your failures.
