It's far from over. Last year the Spurs blew out the pistons in the first 2 gms in SA worse than Dallas did to Miami. Then the Pistons destroyed the Spurs in the next two in Detroit. It's going to be a whole new ballgame when they get to south florida. Expect a big rebound from the Heat.

What's up with Dallas getting 2 games rest btw game 1 and 2 but they only have 1 day rest after travelling back to Miami?

Thats what I'm expecting, and Shaq is the key. Game is all on the refs, lets see if the Heat get the calls today.

They want games on the nights when people watch lots of tv... thursday, sunday, and tuesday (even though the ratings are still bad). It has nothing to do with "favortism."

This is Miami's must win and it looks like they're treating it that way...

Actually, I think they're semi "blowing their load"... they're expending a ton of energy, Dallas is missing some wide open shots, and Miami is still only up by 5-6 points.

Maybe.... But I like how Shaq is playing he's rebounding, blocking shots, got a steal, and got some assists. The dominant Shaq does all that while scoring, Wade is playing well too.

Don't get me wrong... I hope they beat their brains out. I'm just amazed how many DUMB, and CARELESS turnovers Miami seems to make consistently, when they have ample opportunities to break out to a huge lead.

The old Pat Riley is rolling over in his grave.

Smart move getting Walker some plays down low, no way Dirk can hold him. Dallas is ok with losing this one it seems...

I thought they were going to force Jack Niess to retire a long time ago... isn't he basically the worst official in the NBA, when polled by all players... and yet he's working a Finals game?

The Heat are letting this game slip away. They should have had a 15 point lead but they kept making dumb mistakes. Now the Mavs are finally showing a pulse. We'll see right now if this is a repeat of games 1 & 2.

They missed Wade in that stretch... It still looks like Miami's game, just don't rest Wade that much and Shaq must continue rebounding and defending.

That Devin Harris needs to learn how to shoot there's no way they could even think of letting Terry go until he does, and he needs to learn how to play in 1st and 2nd gear.

Told y'all this is Miami's game. Game 4 is a must win for Dallas IMO, because I just can't see them stopping the Heat with momentum from winning game 5 and then winning another 2 in a row at home.

Well the Heat got a little separation at the end of the half, so thay might actually get the win here. The Mavs missed a lot of shots, I have to check the box score. I know the Heat won't be complacent but this Mavs team has come back from deeper holes than this one.

the mavs may wanna consider pulling their heads out of their asses at some point during this game. turnovers galore, missed shots galore, giving up fastbreaks, letting williams have that 3 at the end. it's kind of amazing how bad dallas can play and still not get blown out by the heat, who are playing pretty well.

and i liked wade complaining to the refs at the end of a half in which he just shot 14 free throws. apparently he should shoot free throws until his arms fall off and never be called for a foul even when he trips a guy up.

My read on the first half:

The Heat's sloppy play let the Mavs stay close enough to make a run and tie it. They should have run the lead much higher early in the 2nd quarter. 12 TO's at halftime is crazy.

The Mavs really blew it by letting the Heat go on that run to close the half. Yes, Wade just took over but Dallas had too many wasted offensive possessions. Their chemistry isn't there.

Wade's all world (21/9) 1st half, along with Dallas' subpar play should have given the Heat a bigger lead. Wade will probably have to score 40 for the Heat to win this game. I'd feel pretty good if I was Dallas because it's clear they will steamroll the Heat in the 2nd half if their chemistry comes back.

jumpman, this game isn't close to being over. I agree with your comment on Devin Harris. Seemed like he could shoot at Wisconsin. What happened? The Mavs should bring Terry back and make another championship run. It would be foolish to let him go.

and also, just how friggin' bad is keith van horn? it's like you think you've seen the worst and then he takes it up another notch. the first two times he touches it he pump fakes and drives. the first gets blocked/stolen, the next he charges. then he missed 2 wide open shots later in the game. i suppose at this point just not spontaneously combusting when he touches the ball is a win for him.

30 to 16 rebounding edge, that's the game right there!
