Oh Harrisment, how can one NOT love Nom-- Burzmali? He's so sweet and caring toward everyone, and SUCH a gentleman around women...
Favorite Domestic: Miller Lite Shiner (I consider it a domestic) Favorite Imports: Fat Tire Dos Equis Corona Heineken Red Stripe Any type of Hefeweizen
Prior to my last year of undergrad (this past yr), I never thought I'd truly enjoy beer. It is amazing how much I really enjoy a lot of beers now. Of domestic beers you can pretty much find anywhere, I'll take Bud Light. For my favorite taste, I like Killian's Irish Red, Modelo Especial, Red Stripe, and Corona. Other beers I enjoy from time to time are Tecate & Dos Equis. The absolute worst thing I've ever tasted is Heineken...atrocious.
I have had soo many outstanding beers that I could really only comment on my favorite "style" of beer. Im absolutely into Belgian Quadruples and American Double IPA's at the moment. If I had to pick just one beer, Speedway Stout from Alesmith is about as close to perfection as it has gotten for me in a long time.
My regulars are: Augustinerbrau Munchen Celebrator Dogfish Head Raison d'Etre Chimay is practially brewed for cooking.
Fat Tire isn't an import. I love it how beers like Sam Adams are listed as imports on restaurant menus, lol.
I think that new ad campaign is actually Coors Light. Where the chick thinks the guy is gonna propose, right? I like Rolling Rock, surprised no one has mentioned it. Bud Select is good too.
just finished a bottle of Delerium not too long ago.... delicious beer. i could go on and on about which brews i like (micro, imports, etc.), but let me just say that PBR is top-notch in my book. coldest beer on earth.
A great beer guide! That guy, M. Jackson is also a wiseguy when it comes to whisky. Enjoy. http://www.beerhunter.com/
SCHLITZ (the beer that made milwaukee famous, NOT the malt liquor) for an import, i think Stella Artois is a fine beverage. i think some of y'all are confused about what exactly comprises an "import." just because it costs more than $4.99/6-pack, doesn't make it an import. now, if you're considering Texas a Republic, then you might consider beers from the other "states" imports. however, shiner bock is not only the worst beer made, it happens to be manufactured in Texas and therefore, is NOT an import. carry on...
Fat tire is not an import. It comes from Colorado. The New Belgian Brewing company is located in America. Either way its good beer for its price.
How do I love beer? Let me count the ways. I love beer to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love beer to the level of everyday's Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light. I love beer freely, as men strive for Right; I love beer purely, as they turn from Praise. I love beer with a passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love beer with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints, --- I love beer with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose, I shall but love beer better after death.
I probably drank 30+ Lone Star Lights this weekend. Added on a couple Natty Ices for good measure. Ah, the river...
Have you had Three Floyd's Imperial IPA? It is pretty outstanding, as is Dogfish Head's 90-minute. I agree with you about imperial IPA's, I have become a total hop-head over the last several years. I used to drink all porter's and stouts, now I drink (and brew) almost exclusively IPA's. Three Floyd's Alpha King is my current favorite, with Victory's Hop Devil a close second.
Have you had the 120? The guy at the store where I go keeps trying to get it, but he said they're impossible to get because they're reserved for other stores or something. Where can one get some?
