Pop lost this game by putting the wrong lineups on the floor.

iverson with the MVP, since he did the amazing task of being the ONLY player to get double digits in a category other than points.

    two thoughts

    1) Pop should have not bothered staying up all night struggling with his lineups - because they were garbage

    2) The Suns, sans Nash, (Marion & Amare) were very UNDERwhelming

I'd blame Pop for the disappointment of the ASG. He didn't play to win. He apparently didn't care much about the outcome of a show.

Yep. It seemed like the East just wanted it more. But the West (excpet for Kobe) were just going through the motions. Yawn...

I keep asking, is anyone going to show some hustle? Anyone?

That's not important. What does matter is Yao's team has won 8 in a row while Miller's club has lost 6 of previous 7.

Is it me, or does Yao have a habit of setting picks for whomever brings the ball up. He was the only one setting picks and hardly saw playing time.....

Well guys, I can't wait till the 2006 all star game. I wonder if I will be able to score some tix. I know they are hard to come by, not to mention very expensive. Anywone know when or where I can start looking. I am willing to pay a certain amount, and I can justify to just see the dunk contest or something like that.

Not a great All-star game but T-mac had that crazy dunk. So did VC. I am just glad that Pop didnt play Yao or T-mac over 25 mins.

Does anyone have highlights of the game? Also has anyone posted highlights of the Dunk contest? Thanks.

Thanks Popovich for sitting your two best players the entire fourth quarter. Almost no point in even playing this game if you're not going to try in the end.

Just a terrible AS game. Pop played out some terrible rotations out there, clearly he didn't give a damn about winning, he coached to lose. What a shame considering he is a such a demanding and competitive coach.

T-Mac played terribly tonight, probably not used to be with a West all star team. I am sure he will do better Tuesday night.

Yao played an effective and solid, though not spectacular (meaning flying or powerful dunks) game. He showed great court vision and passing abilities with his passes. It's a shame he was not able to show that part of his game in Rockets' games -- don't know it is due to the system or the defense in real games.

This was just a poor All-Star Weekend overall. The skills challenge was repetitive, thank Josh Smith for the only highlights of the weekend. The ASW was boring as hell and the players just didn't seem into the game.

That was quite possibly the worst half-time show I have ever seen, it was just terribe. Hopefully, we'll do a much better job at ASW.

Yao's court vision was amazing. As long as Rockets win, I don't care if Yao doesn't get to show off his passing skills in a game.
