Thanks. I wonder why rockets doesn't provide recaps. Also, I am surprised that the recap doesn't provide the complete stats like that in Game 1.

So, Head has 5-11, 6 assists and 3 steals. Not bad. I was hoping Badiane will get more rebounds though. Still, 6-6 and 6-10 is not bad.

Do you think this is a lack of coaching? When you see him play, does it seem to you that, with proper coaching and more experience these problems can be fixed? He played in europe and their style doesn't particularly stress rebounding, shotblocking and doing the "dirty work" so to speak.

How many turnovers did Head have?

The first half of your assessment sounds a lot like Francis, but the second half sounds like an improved Francis. Thus, my reason for wanting to know if he can hang on to the ball.

Hearing that Head is an athletic freak and that he distributes the ball after penetrating is great! I'm not worried about his shot. That will come later if he isn't hitting it right now. I don't want to get my hopes up but this guy could be a major contributor late in the regular season and playoffs like Sam Cassell was back in the day. :)

6 for 6 with outside shooting, Badiane seems can shoot!

Would it be worthwhile to keep Badiane around and let him get some pointers from Dikembe? Even if not, I suspect playing some organized NBDL ball would do him some good. Even if he is a garbage man type F/C reserve in the league, he could make use of that athleticsm and husle. That would actually be more than one would usually expect out of a 2nd rounder anyway.

Thanks for the recap. If the Rockets cant land Swift or some other FA power forward we might actually have to take a serious look at giving mins to Badiane. It looks like he had a much better game than game 1 so hopefuly he continues to improve.

As for L. Head, I would love it if he got 8-12 mins a game at either of the guard positions. I think he could bring alot of energy off the bench which is something the Rockets lacked in the fist half of last season.

Head with three steals in both games, each in under three quarters. But of course, Summer Leagues are also notoriously sloppy.

DoD, how does Badiane compare to Keon Clark? Sounds like the same guy to me.

Nothing, nothing, nothing like Francis was. When Luther had the ball, he controlled it as a part of a team effort. He never focused on dominating the ball. I only talked about his bad start shooting and his mistake in taking on Bogut to show he can be capable of mistakes. Mistakes, by no means, dominates his game - he played a very solid game except for the fact his shot was off early.

But let's not forget: Bogut blows. He's an overrated stiff.

I think Bowen has better command of what offense and defense are, but Malick has better "potential". They're both non-stop motors. They also bring different abilities to both offense and defense, so that's hard to say. I think Bowen would probably make fewer mistakes based upon his positioning and following a play.

I wouldn't worry too much about turnovers. Head made a couple of really good passes in the paint, and at least one turned into a turnover because Malick wasn't expecting it.

Keon Clark was a better player in that he had more control of his body. Malick is still learning what offense is from the looks of it. I can see Malick and Clark being similar players in the future, though.
