should tiger have gotten a penalty for what he did the other day? They were showing replays of it on cold pizza but i don't know enough about golf to know exactly what the problem was.. something in the way he hit the ball...
and not just a win to break the drought, but a win over a guy who beat the rest of the field by 7 strokes.
Isn't it kind of stupid that Hootie gets a jacket, along with others in his position? I mean, I know it's about the win, but that tacky jacket should represent an exclusive club (well, it sorta does, since it's Augusta). But it seems like the members are letting lesser people gain entry into their club by winning the tournament. These are just some random musings.
I never watch golf, but I watched most of today to see Tiger finally get a Major win again. That chip shot on (17 wasn't it) had to be the best shot I've ever seen - top 3 for sure. Just amazing. He was pretty shaky down the stretch, especially on the last two holes, it was quite a feat for him to tie DiMarco and go to the playoff with the way the way Chris was playing in the final holes. Another great putt by Tiger on the playoff, too. I'm glad to see him win again. Good job tiger.
rocket river.. he was cleared, but discussion etc was over whether or not he should have been cleared or if he was let off because it was tiger etc. I have no idea, being that I don't really know that much about the rules. http://www.golf365.com/Latest_News/story_9000.shtml
rocket.. im not a hater at all, but just thought it was worth mentioning. seems like the video replays were clear shots etc.. I don't really know the rules well, but seems like for someone who knows it they should be able to tell if it was illegal or wasn't illegal. but they just said inconclusive. so I guess they think they couldn't tell by replay?
The rule is that you have to stand next to the ball and hit the ball side to side. It was instituted when Palmer(not sure) starting putting the ball like croquet with the ball between his legs. So if you straddle the ball, then its against the rule. I think its a stupid rule anyway.
