Keyshawn said he wasn't going to play for Parcells.

Does Keyshawn want to catch the ball or not. Always complaining, and the three teams he picks can't throw the ball worth a damn. Except New England, and they spread it around. I sometimes wonder how bright these players are. Go to a team that THROWS the ball if you are a WR. Or live your life in purgatory for years to come. Just don't complain when pick teams like Tampa and Baltimore who grind it out.

    From the Washington Post:

Two NFL front-office executives, speaking on the condition they not be identified to protect their teams' draft-day plans, said they expect Fitzgerald to be chosen by the Oakland Raiders with the second overall pick on April 24. That would give Raiders Coach Norv Turner a young wide receiver to build his offense around as veterans Jerry Rice and Tim Brown approach retirement.

The Jimmy Johnson lesson is that it is real hard to project whether Fitzgerald will end up a better pro than Roy Williams, Mike Williams, Lee Evans, Rashaun Woods, Mike Jenkins, or Mike Clayton so if you pick on of those guys and/or say a BJ Johnson or a Isaac Sopoaga with your extra picks ( the #2 pick for the #25 plus and extra 3 and 5?) your more likely to end up with at least one player that eventually helps your team. I think the real meat of the NFL is probably 3rd rounders by average.

Top picks also eat a lot of cap space, having two or three picks in the lower rounds that cost the same as the one, insures you against injury. Besides the old Raiders need to re-stock (though they actually have a couple of really good young guys)

I wouldn't mind getting another 1st and 2nd rounder this year for the #2 pick, there is a good WR crop and also LSU DT Chad Lavalais will probably slip into the 2nd round and I think he'll be awesome.

I normally would agree about trading the picks however, I think Fitzgerald is one of those rare talents that justify the risk. I think with him learning from Rice and Brown
he can be a great player. I think he is already a notch above those other recievers.

I wouldnt be terribly upset if say the Raiders moved down a couple spots and got someone like Taylor or Williams and a second rounder as well but really man I think Fitz is the way to go.

Lavalais in the second wouldnt be bad but depending on what is going on with Gannon-Rivers or Losman might be a good idea to consider. I am not convinced of Tui's abilities. Also, I just read where Charlie Garner is considering leaving Oakland. This frees up some 4 million on the cap. If he does I wouldnt mind getting Greg Jones or Chris Perry somewhere in the 2nd since Norv intends to go to a more power running game and ditch the West Coast offense.
