Sure, but this year's team with a healthy Yao is far superior to last year's team. That is what is so frustrating because we could have gone deep in the playoffs this year with a healthy Yao and Tracy. And the number of years Tracy has left is limited, as we can all see he is already slowing down.

Guys an injured Mcgrady (now) isn't what we would expect but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in the playoffs...whats your arguement on that?

well I agree with you but he may also never be healthy enough to bring a team out of the first round too

Vs the Jazz, Luther need to get 0 minutes, he just can't score, and can't guard vs Utah. And he make bad decisions and turns the ball over a lot vs the Jazz. Not a good match for him.

OK if you're only going to pick that part...

They weren't all bad shots. Some just weren't falling. He was the defensive focus of the Jazz and everyone knows that they've been saying it all week.

    7/21 > 3/15 > 1/7 > 1/4

Shane and Scola played well, but they are not going to be enough to cancel out the Jazz even in T-Mac's shadow. That's the sad truth.

This year they've got a deeper bench. Plus look at the impact Scola's had.

With Yao I'd have the Rockets in 7. If Bynum were still out for the second round I'd take the Rockets in 7 over the Lakers as well. Maybe even if he was back but just limping around.

Toronto <---he was a bench sort of player that doesnt count
Magic ( Avgd 32+, 6, 7 took them to a 3-1 lead over the 1 seed pistons who didnt take long to see it was a 1 man team and denied him the ball, they lost the remaining by a margin of 20 pts)
Houston <---Not even our #1 scoring option! Yet this guy is taking us far, last yr being the ONLY year he had a legitimate chance of winning spoiled by Yao's inability to ge ta Rebound

To me hes 0-1 b.c of last yr, 1st round, 2nd round doesnt mean Jacksquat no1 cares or rmbrs who it was in the conference finals, its about winning championships

I agree but I have lowered the bar for this dude. He just can't carry a team for a whole game anymore much less a series. I'm tired of being down on him. I don't expect anything from him anymore except to continue to cash his franchise player paycheck and give this team less than franchise player performances.

How come everyone harps on McGrady never getting out of the 1st Round? Could it be because he has a reputation for not coming through when needed most. Lets not forget it was McGrady who taunted the pistons and gave them motivation to defeat the magic and the same McGrady who said its on me last year. You heard it from him. It was his fault.

Somewhat rightly said, i agree but hes changed this year, and a lot more mature, if you ask me i honestly dont think he'll let it get to him if he loses this year, most people would think it impossible for 1 player to take the whole team to 7 games and he lost all those 7 games so that is why they beat up on him

Yeah you right. He is what he is. I really dont have anything against him except he doesnt give the same effort as the other guys during the regular season. Its hard to believe he is is not 35 though because he looks it out there.

Everyone needs to click the report button on all the vulgar personal attacks, instead of replying in kind.

While all of us enjoy a little banter from time to time, the filth-slime-filth is not needed.

I would assume that people that continue to use baiting and foul language do not want to continue to have posting privileges on the bbs.

    I could be wrong.

    :(

Just about every time they mention this(at least during games), they always point out his great stats, saying he really hasnt had much help so its not really fair to pin it on him.

Mike Tirico: "Last year McGrady played a magnificent game 7 but it was the Utah Jazz who won the series in Houston."

I wish it did bother him. I wish it made him so angry, when his team was down be 10 he would say in his mind, you are going to have to kill me to stop me. I know I can be to hard on him but I see his Jordan like athletic ability and just think he wastes it alot of times.

everyone from scola to tmac and everyone else was so active on the low block to get back in the game and everything changed when scola got the 4th foul and tmac stopped driving. I'm pretty sure when freakin korver is guarding him, he is capable of blowing past him toward the rim with boozer millsap okur all out of there

He's not Michael Jordan, but he's not too far off.

So what is the reason that you allude to but never provide? That his supporting cast has always been sub-par? His time in Orlando was killed by Grant Hill and in Toronto he wasn't even a big part of the team yet.
