I know I'm just pointing out the obvious but I thought I would put the math down for the Rocks playoff hunt. Rockets Record 36-26: 62 games played. 20 games remain, if the Rockets can go 50%, 10-10 here would be the playoff picture. Would make for 46 season wins. Below is the required record for the teams to TIE the Rockets for the playoffs. Denver 18 games remain, 13-5 required Utah 19 games remain, 15-4 required Portland 19 games remain, 16-3 Seattle 19 games remain, 19-0 Clips 20 games remain, 20-0 Golden State impossible to tie Phoenix impossible to tie Of course this is if the Rocks win half of their remaining games. So to point out the obvious, unless they really tank - we're in. Knock on hardwood.
i don't see the rockets NOT in the playoffs this year. the question is what seed. is it going to be the 6th or 7th seed?
The way the T'Wolves are playing, they'll probably fall one or two spots meaning SA will win the division. I don't want us to be the 7th seed in that scenario.
Maybe the Rockets should just win as many games as possible. I'd love to see them go 14 and 6 for 50 wins Raven
It really doesn't matter what seed they go into, the Rockets will win the whole thing anyway. 1995?!?
it's not whether the rox will make it but if clutch will update adrian griffin's picture by then or if at all. it's currently an eyesore.
At This point we can compete with anyone. Nobody can match up to us because of Yao. This is one of the rare case where the teams at the top are trying to dodge us. Not the other way around.
this is a running topic by someone else..but nonetheless, thank you to all the math majors in the crowd
if you read their forums. You'd know that nobody wants to see the Rockets in the first round. It's a good feeling!
