thanks professorjay & icrnk!! I can't find the link now. Hmm, I did click on "Email" to grab the link. Try that. How long does it take for my account to update if I got 3 people?
I bought mine at 9pm last night and received a confirm email at 3am this morning...figure that their servers are even more hammered now that everyone is wide awake and getting info all over it make take longer than the 6 hours it took me to get a confirm email
Rumor is (at least from last night) that there's no way LivingSocial will fullfil all the orders. Personally, I think that's bs. Just a heads up though.
It was at 400K sold when I first clicked the link. And 570K about an hour later. So possibly they're just overwhelmed. You'd think any limits would be established and set before accepting orders. 600K represents $12m in Amazon product! $6m spent! And $3m for LivingSocial if they use the Groupon 50% commission model. Not bad for one promo For those of you who missed out, here's a link to another offer you might like. Read the bit about tipping!
So how do I get this gift card??? Is it an actual gift card being mailed to my house or an email thingy???
no most likely a gift card code you enter in your amazon account pretty sure the orders should be fulfilled after all didnt amazon buy out living social in december?
finally got mah link workin http://livingsocial.com/deals/21336?ref=personalized-link-box-3875406&rpi=3875406
Well, glitches often happen. We've all seen glitches happen online with regards to quantity. I'm not saying they won't fulfill orders, just a possibility that it may happen.
My guess is this is legit. Amazon recently invested $175 million in livingsocial recently. This is probably a promotion to increase livingsocial awareness/membership. It's getting a lot of buzz around the web and 1 million gift cards sold is only a $10 million dollar promotion. Ref link https://livingsocial.com/deals/21336?ref=conf-jp&rpi=3747407
I was skeptical from things I read earlier, but seeing Amazon actually having a stake in this company almost makes it a sure thing. Microsoft spent way more money on their Bing cash back thing they did awhile ago. I think I got over $200 from that. Not to mention GroupOn is valuated at 1 billion or something crazy like that so it's definitely territory worth investing in for them.
