Honestly I know the Texans have never traded up to get anybody (at least this regime) but I believe that they're considering to do this to draft Keenan Allen. There's no other explanation for why they are not players in the market right now AND they let Kevin Walter go.

Why would they trade up for Keenan Allen? A guy that is not a burner and has been battling with a knee issue? No reason to trade up when we can get someone like Hopkins at our current position. If we trade up, I want Patterson.

Because he is ready now and can eventually develop into that #1 which is exactly what the Texans are looking for. Also him not having burner speed is not what complements Matt Schaub anyway. Him being a big & physical at the point of attack and being a reliable target that can pluck balls and make the tough catches will be more of what we'll probably be looking for.

I personally would have wanted Greg Jennings. But it's obvious (at least right now it feels so) that our #2 is coming through the draft. Just a matter of who is the question.

I would like to see the Texans sign Lloyd but I think they will sign Julian Edelman because he is cheaper and he gives them another return man as well as an emergency QB. The Texans seem to always do something different then what the fans suggest. We have been nedding a second reciever for at least 3 years and it has only been adressed through the draft and never in the first round.

    I'd be ok with Edelman.

As Lance Z said the other day...they have to have some kind of WR out of free agency. Someone they have real tape to review against real NFL talent.

If Bill Belichek doesn't try to keep you, then there is a really good chance you are not all that special.

If Belichek cant keep you at below his own made up market price, then he doesnt want you. So he either trades you or doesnt resign you. Asante Samuel...Wes Welker...Richard Seymour...Adam Vinatieri...Ty Law...

If we draft a WR I hope it is the Kid out of Baylor. Bey wouldn't be a bad pickup as he could learn from Dre. I wouldn't mind Barden either.

Does Edleman even play wideout? I like him but I thought he was strictly built for slot, and CB (ha).

He's definitely better suited for slot. He's built similar to Wes Welker. If you're going to sign him and use him, his strength is playing slot. I don't really think we need a slot because we have Martin.

We definitely don't need a slot. We don't even utilize a 3rd WR enough to warrant signing one. Bigger holes to fill.

Lestar Jean was disappointing. Out of the few catches he actually made, he was called for offensive PI.
