lol, I agree with this. I also want us to beat teams that have been our rivals or have beaten us in recent years. I want to *own* Dallas and Utah.
My favorite parts/ones that get me most pumped is when AB drains 3's from 5 feet behind the line. That kid is more deadly from far away than Jude Law in Enemy at the Gates and Mark Wahlberg in Shooter, combined!
1. Having Yao back. 2. Lots of things: A Trevor Ariza steal leading to a fast break, a Chuck Hayes steal and baseball pass leading to a fast break, defensive intensity forcing a 24-sec violation, Battier taking a charge, Battier getting inside 4 opposing rebounders and tipping a loose ball right to a teammate on the perimeter, Kevin Martin getting hacked and still making a nice little 15-foot jump shot, Aaron Brooks hitting a 40-foot shot, Kyle Lowry driving a crowded lane and finishing, Kyle Lowry threading a needle on a pass that no one in the building saw coming, Scola making a smooth post move, counter, and second counter to get off a shot, Scola grabbing a rebound surrounded by much bigger and more athletic opponents, Scola running the break and being the first one down, Yao blocking the basket off so that he gets three chances to make a shot, Yao running the court and being the first one back on defense. I love this team, and they do a lot of things to excite you.
How our young players mix in with a healthy Yao Ming. And, hopefully, a healthy Yao Ming. The part where a win is guaranteed. I like that part a whole lot. DD
Seriously, how can anyone watch that and NOT think we have enough to win it all......?????? If he is healthy, we have a MONSTER TEAM !!! DD
1. I'm looking forward to a new rotation at C. Not that I'm overly optimistic, but I'm eager to see this team with Yao back in the mix, and also a great passing big like Brad Miller at the high post. 2. Probably when Chuck makes a great defensive play.
i am looking for how yao's body hold up. it determinds what rox will be after the next season. i am looking for winning, winning, and winning.
No body, and I REPEAT nobody can guard Yao one on one! Not Howard, not Garnett, not Shaq, not Gasol, not Bynum, not ANYONE!
First off, I have to say that this was a excellent thread idea. NICE! 1. I can't wait to see a healthy Yao on the court meshing with all of our guys. 2. I'm also looking forward to seeing the Toyota center packed and hearing that homecourt advantage. 3. (I'll add one more lol) I wanna see what more corny nicknames Bill Worrell comes up with this season LOL.
1. The 'new' team playing with a healthy Yao in the line up. 2. A close game against a contender where we make stops and execute our offense to score and win the game. That means our team is growing on the court.
1. Watching a Healthy team. 2. Back to back scoop buckets for Scola....and a time-out for the opposing team.
1) how good our back court can be with YAO in the post. 2) when someone get's dunked on/posterized, duh.
1. The potential of the team is always a great feeling to anticipate. I love the whole 82-game season. It gets me through tough times during the year. 2. Watching Trevor Ariza develop. He had a HORRIBLE shooting year last year, but I think Morey made a great move by signing him. His defense, alone, is enough to have him on the team. 2B. The "warzone" duo of AB and KM. It's going to be awesome to see them work the high post with Brad and Yao.
1) I am looking foward to being competitive in every game and never having a drop off because of subs being in etc. It will be exciting watching the deepest team in the NBA compete for 82 games. I feel like this will really help during the regular season. 2) I will look most foward to our young guys being in the game and running the court against other teams 2s. I feel like a lineup with Lowry, Tayor, Budinger, Hill, Miller would be very exciting to watch and would give a lot of teams benches trouble. Coming in a close second is watching our shooters knock down 3s with Yao dishing out.
