108 - 109 14.3 seconds... foul on Fisher Laker ball 108 - 110 first good... second good 108 -111 14.3 Hornets ball
I just find it absurd to criticize the one guy on the Hornets that gave them any chance to win in the first place. You can't make statements like "it's like he's trying to single-handedly give the game away" when it wouldn't have even been a game in the first place without him. That was a ridiculous comment on your part and you know it. You just spoke without using your brain. You're obviously smarter than that based on the fancy words you used above. Yes, he made a couple of bad plays. He also made about 30 good plays in the same game. If he didn't make a magnificent steal in the first place, there wouldn't even have been a fast break on that play where Fisher drew the charge.
Yep. Done... 111-115... no way the Hornets win now... barring a miracle 3 ptr and a foul made to send it double OT. Fisher comes up huge yet again.
Dumbest decision I've ever seen Chris Paul make, then again without him this game would have been over. Overall a good game for the Hornets, they were resilient even when paul went out, this was a good step, next up is a Utah Game, I don't know who i want to lose.
If you take Kobe and Paul out of this game, I'll take the Lakers to win by double-digits. I'm not saying Paul is necessarily better than Kobe but he clearly doesn't have as good of a supporting cast.
I can't believe some of the shots LeBron took tonight. Did you guys see that pull up from about 8 feet beyond the 3pt line with about 20 seconds left on the shot clock? And it was early in the 3rd quarter, not a desperate shot late in the game.
First, like anyone else I don't care what what you find "absurd" and am not goig to adjust my criticisms accordingly. Secondly, yes Paul may have made some great plays to keep the Hornets in the game, but in that last sequence where he 1, screwed up the fast break, 2, let Fisher hit a wide open three, and 3, took a well contested long pull-up 2 pointer for the win instead of even trying to drive, it was like he was "single handedly giving the game away." It was pretty clear in my post that that was the only stretch of play I was commenting on. Thirdly, get over it.
It's a real shame that so many teams are hitting their stride and we're getting a lot of good games, but so many important players are out for the season. I wonder how much better the home stretch of the season would be with them out there on the court. Ah well, I'll just have to be entertained by the SF3-like rollercoaster ride that will be the development of young Aaron Brooks. Hopefully, there's stardom on the horizon for that kid.
I guess I'm the only one who watched Brandon Roy destroy the Hawks down the stretch. Just wow! But it's nothing new for him. This was a good win for the Blazers. They looked like a team on the brink of collapse their last 2-3 games. It was like their team as a whole was hitting the wall.
Huge. His absence was one of the reasons they were starting to lose their grip. Having Blake's steady hand and solid shooting will help their young pieces stay glued together so they don't collapse late in the season. It's incredible the Blazers are 34-20, have two 3rd year players as their anchors and, additionally, have FOUR rookies in their rotation (if you include Bayless). I suppose youth is the reason they are so ineffective on defense. But if/when they learn to better defend the pick-and-roll, the Blazers will truly be a dangerous team. Maybe as soon as next season.
