What does that mean ,you sound like one of those guys who say he only dropped 81 because it was against the raptors...last time I checked no other player or star came close to that even against the raptors and they forget that he dropped 61 in 3 quarters against the mavs who were no 1 that year...in your eyes he jsut can't do any right really kobe is a gunner, he is a scorer by role and you take the good wit hteh bad, sometimes shots don't fall, and also he can create a shot at any spot and make the hardest shots in basketball unlike any other. He won't stop competing and that has gotten him pretty far in his hof career.

Jose Calderon and Jeremy Lin have gotten their career highs each of hte last 2 games vs the Lakers. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jeff Teague tee off on Fisher and Blake again. Last 2 games, Calderon and Lin have combined for 68 points vs Lakers Last 5 games, Laker point guards have COMBINED 61 points
This Chicago team will beat Miami in a 7 game series if they end up playing them. Their defense and rebounding along with their great depth this year is enough.
Man, the one spot on the floor you definitely don't want Kobe taking the shot from is the right baseline. I know the rule of thumb is to keep a great playmaker out of the middle of the floor, but if Kobe is on the right side of the floor you should force him left instead of allowing him to get to that baseline. He's just deadly there.
Kobe does chuck up a lot of shots nowadays. But that's because 1. Bynum couldn't beat a good center 1on1 and couldn't handle double team. 2. They don't have anybody else to create a shot and they don't have shooters to spread the floor. Only Blake was serviceable before he was injured. Bynum and Gasol ain't compatible, Gasol can shoot mid-range but he's average at that and he doesn't have quick release, making P&R ineffective as well. The CP3 trade would have kept them a contender, without a trade they made 2nd round at best as it stands. In retrospect, Lakers should have swapped Bynum for CP3 and kept Gasol and Odom. It wasn't like Bynum did much in their title runs.
you have turned a non believer and i am disappointed, i think will be lakers vs knicks finals and kobe alone by himself can carry lakers there
Rajon Rondo is having an MVP type of game. He is the best pure point guard in the game. When he gets it going I would rather watch him than Rose or Westbrook. I just love his game. He plays D, rebounds, passes and always attacks.
If Blake and MWP were at their prime, when both were good to great defensively and had solid 3pt shooting, it's doable. Not anymore, we've seen how any average PG can kill lakers. And they are likely to see 2 out of CP3/Westbrook/Parker to make finals. Kobe is too old to guard a PG and carry the offense on the other side throughout the playoff.
I'm impressed with how Dwane Casey leads this Raptors team. Had really great decisions on the defensive end.
Agreed. Rondo does a lot of things really well, but his lack of a jump shot is such a glaring hole in his game. The Celtics might as well play 4-on-5 at times.
I am not saying he is better because he is not, what I am saying is that he is more fun to watch (at least for me). His J sucks but has improved a lot, especially from the elbows. 32/10/15 is pretty monster.
You did say you thought he is the best pure pg in the game... otherwise the other things you said are true - this is your opinion... i respect it... but i disagree - imo, he needs to develop even a mid range shot to be considered elite
well yes. is rose or westbrick a pure pg? This is a new generation. Athletic fast and strong. Rondo is more of old school guy IMO.
no they are not... - but i think chris paul is... and i also think he is better than rondo - just for listing sake...(not implying better than rondo)... nash, irving, miller, rubio are and can be pure pg's - deron williams is still think is one of the best pg in the ga,e
