You aren't understanding what I'm saying. If Kawhi gets traded to let's say Boston, why would he want to leave after the season? He couldn't go to the Lakers no matter what, so why not just take the deal there and get paid to be on the best team in the East?

If Boston gets Kawhi you would have to think the calculus changes for LeBron to try and get to Houston at that point

    Circulating on twitter:

There are rumors circulating that LeBron James is currently in Houston.

James is supposedly at Kinkaid. Chris Paul’s kids attend the school.

My injured, expiring player for your injured expiring player. ;)

(Both have player options after next year)

I don't think anything is going to change Lebron's mind really. He's either going to choose LA for the lifestyle and "chance" to be a real contender or he's not. A good team in the East won't change that.

I want to ask you honestly, do you really think thats a better package than what the Lakers can offer them?

    sure.
But just because Boston has the best pieces doesn't mean they have put them on the table. I don't think that with Ainge's MO Boston is on a clear advantage asset wise because they simply are habituals lowballers.

Oon the other hand someone like LA with the thirst for superstars and in a rush to lock Lebron are more likely to open their wallet.

Is Pop’s rep going to take a hit now? LMA wanted to leave last year and now Kawhi this year

Right, and Kyrie had San Antonio on his "list" when he got dealt to Boston. He's now making a stink about going to NY. This could solve a problem for both teams.

100% that's better. Covington and Saric are better than anyone the Lakers are offering, plus the 10th pick and then whatever you think about Fultz's upside.

Leonard, George, and LeBron would give Lakers a chance though.

Just George and LeBron against GS/HOU/BOS+ Leonard is no chance

You talking about Lebron, PG, and Kawhi? ALl three shoot the three very well.

They're all like prototypical play any position players, too.

Lebron, PG, Kawhi, Randle foursome is a pretty unique switch everything, score in a lot of ways, make them match up to you type group.

Because Kawhi is a diva. Why would he leave the best coach and a perpetual title contender?
Kawhi stayed out for a whole year to force a trade. It's naive to put any type of primadona behaviour beneath him at this point.

Plus apparently he also wants the Knicks or Clippers.

Just heard the same from some Kinkaid folks, who knows. My cousin and most of my family went there, he heard it from one of his Kinkaid buddies who heard it from his brother.

I'll believe it when I see a picture of him at the campus.

I fully believe the Lakers aren't building a super team this summer. Word is they are willing to take on contracts to move up in the draft. Is that something you do if you think LeBron and PG are both coming?

Lakers might still get a big three without Lebron but with Kawhi, George and Boogie, hopefully Lebron comes here, i still want to believe, the rumor that he's in Houston...man...

Seriously, not even sure how to respond to that.

Kawhi can easily play the 2 and Lebron and Paul George are easily interchangeable at the 3/4. Oh and Kawhi can play and defense those positions as well. Oh and Paul George can play and defend the 2 as well. Oh and so can Lebron.

They'd have no issue at all blending, not to mention both George and Kawhi are willing spot up shooters.

Edit: don't think they could keep Randle in this situation.
