Colin knows what he has been saying about the Rockets and Lakers has been straight bs! He's just trying to keep things interesting for his fan base regarding the competitive spirit of the league. People need to believe Lebron and the Lakers are a threat!
Being LeBron, you bet I ‘believe ‘. Being Cowherd, you bet I don’t ‘believe ‘. He has admitted he says shite for attention.
Woj: Kawhi? Spurs GM R.C. Buford is 100 feet to my right getting ready to watch his Summer League team. Spurs continue to talk with multiple teams on deals. You talk to teams speaking with them, they see an urgency [from the Spurs] to find a trade but right now, nothing is on the table that the Spurs are ready to do. They have a high threshold and no team has met it. Jabari Parker? Parker & Bulls are progressing on an offer sheet. Bucks could pull his QO. They have not done so yet. It'd be an offer sheet the Bucks would have to match & may not be in position to match a rich offer sheet. Parker is from Chicago. They've made progress on a deal & there could be a resolution in the next 24 hours.
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24090396/jabari-parker-chicago-bulls-making-progress-offer-sheet Restricted free agent forward Jabari Parker and the Chicago Bulls are progressing on an offer sheet deal, league sources told ESPN. A deal could be finalized as soon as Sunday, league sources said. Parker, a Chicago native, isn't expected to have an offer sheet matched by the Milwaukee Bucks. The team has discussed allowing Parker to become an unrestricted free agent by pulling his qualifying offer, but that has yet to happen, league sources said. The Bulls are banking on revitalizing Parker's career, restoring him to top condition and fulfilling his promise as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Parker has shown the promise to be an elite scorer in the league. The Bulls want to add him to a young core that includes Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn. Parker, 23, has suffered two different ACL tears to his left knee in his career. Parker had his best season in 2016-17 -- averaging 20 points, six rebounds and nearly three assists in 50 games before suffering another knee injury.
Ha, yeah. Got halfway down thinking "oh ****, jimmy butler!". Then realized he's just talking about Melo.
Woj: Carmelo Anthony? Oklahoma City has been trying to first find a trade where really they'd be moving some money around & then the team they'd trade him to would waive him. That's become far less likely as teams like Brooklyn use their cap space. At some point here, it's expected they'll do a waive-&-stretch on Carmelo Anthony. He'll become an unrestricted free agent after clearing waivers. Houston has remained from the beginning the frontrunners to sign him. Miami remains a team in consideration. Jimmy Butler turning down extension. That was to be expected. He can make a lot more next summer. He can do a 5 year, $190M to stay or a 4 year, $140M to sign somewhere else. You saw Klay Thompson turn that deal down in Golden State. Financially it just makes sense to wait another year. Isaiah Thomas? The market dried up on him because of the hip injury. Teams want to see him healthy & playing again before they make a long term & bigger financial commitment. Denver wanted Isaiah Thomas. They see him as a great fit off the bench. They'll be patient with getting him healthy. They think they're a playoff team this year. Denver coach Mike Malone coached Thomas in Sacramento. I talked to Isaiah Thomas last night. He's excited about the chance to prove himself again and get there with that young Denver team & try to get them in the postseason.
