It’s not about Morey. It’s about what we have to offer. Which is not much. If a star is available other teams will no doubt have better offers.
I'm not toooo familiar with Monroes game. Would he be a better back up big than Nene? I know he has no jumper at all but everything else he should be better at no? And from what i remember he was close to signing with the Rockets after his Detroit days...
You the real mvp J.R, thanks. Thank god we're set at the guards cause i see only trash available there outside of Ellington. Ennis might really be the only decent wing available at this point, outside of VC of course lol. I see more interesting names in the bigs category, Monroe, Trez, Okafor, Nogueira...but for one reason or another i don't think they're on our radar. I'm really starting to feel we're going to give the MLE to Melo, ugh, whatever.
I think Monroe actually has a decent jumper...anyway, good post scorer (fwiw), good passer, mediocre defender at best, as today i think he's better than Nene, not sure that says much for us though, especially for how we play.
Not sure if possible, but if we can retain Capela, sign Ellington to the MLE and acquire Melo with acceptance to a bench role, we could chalk the offseason up as a win.
Our backcourt is a 3 man rotation as Gordon can play with Paul or Harden. If you traded Gordon for a SF, then who's the backup to Harden and Paul?
This particular group of guys, add our own Brandon Wright seem are very interesting to me. I think Nogueria specifically would be and awesome fit, didn’t realize he was an unrestricted free agent.
We gave up Pat Bet Defense but gain more with CP3 offense. Will gain better averages with Melo.. As long as we keep the core healthy and happy "Capela" we good..
