Melton is basically out Trevor Ariza replacement. Kid will play big minutes down the stretch.

Paul
Harden/Gordon
Luc/Melton
Tucker/Melo
Capela/(Tyson Chandler?-Buyout in March?)

 

Okay so you're gonna have to break it down for me....am I just getting ahead of myself or do you just not think Ariza was a good player?

 

He's playing the 3?

 

How so? Melton isn't ready, but he might just be a very good player. MDmA has said as much. He's undersized whereas Trevor is a big wing with amazing arm coverage to blanket offensive players. Also, we don't need 3 pg sized players closing out games.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

 

I believe this year, Melton is vying for 4th-5th guard minutes and maybe seeing some time as a defensive specialist to harass certain players. Unless his jump shot and ball handling skills get dramatically better before camp, he'll have a tough time logging much playing time at all. Don't get me wrong, I like what I'm seeing so far, but he's got to be rusty and a still a little under developed offensively.

I have no clue who we put behind Luc at 3. Do we go out and get a James Ennis? Kelly Iko also just published an article saying Luc isn’t 100% coming back either. Morey is gonna flip Ryan Anderson over for an overpaid 3. He has to. Overwise Melton is gonna be starting at the 3, because we got none.

 

Offer him slightly over vets min for 3 years. Team Option after 2nd year

 

They probably won’t do that cus it seems like they want to be cheap all of a sudden.

 

I want Luc back, big time..but, let's keep in mind who we are...no shortage of guys wanting to play here cheap.

 

But like.... pay clint the guy who is a very important part on this team. Give Luc a little more cus his defense is massive for us. Why are they wanting to be cheap with two key pieces even more so with Clint.
